Hmm... Noon in Japan is about 4 hours after Noon in New Zealand, if I remember correctly.
So if Hakuba's pocketwatch is going off for lunch in New Zealand, it's 8am Tokyo time.
... and about 3pm the previous day in my time zone... ~_~

Got the idea of 'death by books' from the Yu-Gi-Oh manga, where Yuugi gets a threat about 'Countless Letters will fall from the heavens and bring Disaster upon you'.

... and then the guy drops a couple of bookshelves on Yuugi. ~_~

**grin** Have to tell you about this..... One of my nephews has a penchant for practical jokes, and I once caught him setting all the display alarm clocks in a Walmart to go off 5 minutes apart. He was about 10 at the time, and after thinking about it for a few minutes I decided to not tell him mom and instead helped him set the rest of 'em. We hung around until the whole shebang started, then hightailed it out of the store and waited in the parking lot until the rest of the family came out.

I *am* a bad influence, aren't I? You should've seen what happened when I taught some of the OTHER nephews to eat cranberry sauce with a straw.....
