I just wish that Minesweeper would count it as a win if you correctly identify and flag all of the mines, even if you don't click on every other non-mine square. The same way it auto-flags all of the mines if you do click every non-mine square, but don't use any flags.

Got to give this in class after all! Sharing it here as well, because why not.

Switched speech topic from "Why You Should Switch to Firefox" over to "Why You Should Learn Esperanto", because the former was giving me a headache to try and write. Esperanto speech is going much more smoothly! I still need to write the conclusion, but that's just one paragraph, and I've already got all of my sources listed and embedded as well.

...I should make an Esperanto Dreamsheep. And pick Esperanto back up in general. I remembered what I know better than I was expecting, but I really do want to know this language well.

Edit: Speech is (tentatively) complete! I just want to extract it from the template and give it a good look over for flow and so forth, and then it should be good to go. Thank goodness.

Ooooo, I really don't like the template we're supposed to use for our final speech! And using that specific template is required for the grade.

It's built fully around the "Munroe Motivational Sequence", and I just. I feel like the steps in that thing are named in a very non-intuitive way.

The good news is, I don't actually have to present my persuasive speech. The bad news is, I picked a topic that makes me want to. So I guess I'll see how that goes.

I feel like the big themes of Lunar Landing Day/National Moon Day are science, human ingenuity, understanding, hope/determination, and a bit of whimsy. Hope and determination to use said science and human ingenuity to come together and make the world we shepherd a better place for all of us. An understanding of our place in the universe and how we can keep it safe.


On the more whimsical side of the holiday: Remember to leave out oatmeal and moon pies for Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong, and don’t let Michael Collins convince you to prank NASA 😉
