LJ Content Strike.

I'm sure some of you have heard of it, and some of you haven't. See the above link and links within.
Basically: no posting, no commenting, no content on LJ on 21 March.
Yeah, I'm sure it won't do much in the long run. Don't really care.
Honestly? I don't want to give revenue to a company I don't trust. And after the whole thing with end of basic accounts, the censorship of popular interests and the over all contempt of LJ users by the new owner all within the past week, doing -something-, even a minor act of defiance, feels good.
I've currently got four other tabs up, researching various ways to transfer
impfics over to my insanejournal account, hopefully with tags. So far I've found lj-migrate, which seems more complicated than it needs to be and LJ-sec, which I would have to download extra software onto a borrowed computer, which I am loathed to do.
Does anyone have any recommendations for programs to use for transferring journals?
We have an insanejournal account because several of the BNF authors that we follow and some friends are already over there. And that was the reason for joining LJ, was the people.
-if ficcage is done before this weekend, you'll find it over on the insanejournal account. ^^;; This'll be our last post for a while.
[EDIT: We are just looking into transferring our ficblog
impfics at this time. We have no plans to move
ickaimp right now. Relax people! ~_^]

... there was a reference somewhere for backing up with Xjournal, but I'm not currently on a Mac. *Whimpers*
