... years before I got into yaoi, I thought Jinnai had -such- a crush on Makoto. He's got this gorgeous Insect Queen who wants to mate with him, and he'd rather go chase the cute boy. ye-ah

Tenchi Muyo was one of the three major portal series that got people into Anime back when I got interested... the other two being Ranma and Eva, I believe.

To be fair, dubs were a little better then. Well, some; Slayers dub didn't suck, from what I recall.

They were! Omg... I don't know what happened between those days and this past decade, but... ;_; it's so difficult to find something I'm not hissfitting over!

The last truly good dub was...Furuba? FLCL? Cowboy Bebop? Somewhere around 2002 the dubs hit the peak of their quality, I think, and now they're kind of...meh. Or awful. It's what happens when you capitalize on popularity.

Talked to a couple teenagers this weekend about anime and they were commenting about how they had seen some of these series when they were like -five-.

-the scary part is that it's hard to figure out if that's the American or the Japanese VA doing the laugh... they both did it so well.

Kinda leaning towards Naga (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QD1567FdDKg) being slightly scarier though.
The Japanese VA (slight slip of a woman she is) does SUCH a better job than the American one. The Dub voice it too shrill.

Both laughs are scary (I' love that kind of laugh. I drove my friends nuts by the occasianal mad laughter) but they are a bit different. Naga is more of a maniacal, self important laugh and Jinnai is more of a truly mad laugh, like he's a few marbles short. I'm leaning towards Jinnai. My first impression of his laugh was more of a 0_o than Naga's.

1: Never seen El hazard. Seems vaugly familier, but i'm not not sure. Looks hilaruos tho.

3: All three vids are snicker and giggle worthy. Slightly disturbing, but what isn't in anime?
