Okay... so the kids I watch have a game based off a movie, called 'Barnyard'.

So... um... I haven't seen the movie. I know it's PG-rated, I know it's animated and I know it's about animals in a barn. Okay.

... the male cows have udders. ._. so do the female cows

They ride bikes too. Udders. And bike seats. o_o

And in the game, one of the things the (male) character does is go running around squirting other characters with white stuff. He arches his back towards them as he does so. One of the main characters, Otis (?) comments "Ew! Gross! I hate it when you do that!" as you're spraying white stuff all over his udders.

dot. dot. dot.

Evidently, one of the things you can also do is get money to buy clothing accessories, refreshments and stuff to decorate the barn/night club.

Watching the kids, the first thing they went for was a 'Mechanical Human'. Instead of a 'bucking bronco', you have a bent-over constipated looking bucking mechanical human with a cow riding on it's back. A male cow. With the udders flapping. Shouting 'Ye-haw'.

*covers eyes and whimpers*

Please tell me it's not just me.

Also, male cows having udders was the number one reason I didn't go to see that movie. To paraphrase my teacher from last semester's Children's Lit, "I never thought that people from Hollywood didn't know anything, and then this movie came out and I had to wonder." 'Cuz yeah.

Nope... not just you. Dang, that's stupid. All I can think is that maybe they went "okay, all kids know cows have udders, so we've got to put the udders on, but if we make the bulls look different then some kids will be asking their parents why they're different, and that could be embarrassing. So we'll give the bulls udders too!"

I totally feel your pain. ::patpat:: There was that random movie a while back involving bulls. But they drew them with udders. When I saw the preview I was like: wtf, which moron made such a HUGE anatomical error? they wanna misinform the uninformed or what?!

I think this is why I'm not enjoying children shows nowadays anymore. (...yes, I find some enjoyment from some children shows still. Or at least I find amusement in them) The vulgarity or sheer stupidity in them make me want to throw my TV out of the window. ._.

I'm not terribly concerned that they'll be confused about anatomy. They know that only moms can make milk and that males have a penis and girls have a vagina (and they have since they were about 3). I just wonder what sort of game they're playing. It's hard to keep track of everything when I'm not always there.

No worries, is actually a very innocent game, PG rating and all that. I would have told you otherwise.

It's just the udders and taking stuff out of context I think. I kinda seriously have to wonder about the creators and if they really THOUGHT about exactly what they were doing.

Yeah. I didn't watch the movie myself, but I walked in on some people who WERE watching it... And after about two minutes I asked why the male cow had those.

It was the end of the movie I walked in on, and no one had noticed it before that.

It was disturbing... But, the video game thing? O_O
