Kaito paused in front of Aoko's desk and pointedly cleared his throat. She looked up at him, confusion clear in her blue eyes.

With out much pomp, he set six rectangular DVD boxes down on her desk.

The Phantom Menace. Attack of the Clones. Revenge of the Sith. A New Hope. The Empire Strikes Back. Return of the Jedi.

"Nakamori-keibu hasn't caught the Kid." He commented, only slightly smug.

"Yeah... well..." Aoko sighed, resting her head on a hand. "I always kinda figured we'd graduate High School before Star Wars was finished too..."

I'd heard that too. Unfortunately that appears not to be so, the story Lucas and some other screenwriter (or whatever they're called) was apparently a lot longer and stuff before they were supposed to get around to blowing up the second death star, but the plans changed and they shortened it and stuff... Which is too bad, I'd have liked to know that there were still more coming. Not withstanding the fact that I liked the original trilog much more than the newer one...

Well, while there may be no more movies (shoot me, that might have jinxed it and Lucas will want another movie put out or something), there are plenty of books running that take place after the trilogies, before the trilogies, and even in-between them. They don't effect the story-lines of the movies...and are actually like official fanfics or something.

Of course, the older written books were screwed over when Lucas made the pre-trilogy and brought in midichlorians and whatnot *sighs*

Yeah that whole midichlorian stuff, but especially that bit about Anakin's mom having been a virgin made me roll my eyes. Let's *not* just put gratuitous religious things in, please.

Well, IIRC Lucas said something during the original Star Wars hype that came down to that there'd be 9 movies. Somewhere in the commentary of the Special edition DVDs he explains how he and another screenwriter had been working on that story, but after he'd decided to compress and combine elements of the originally longer story into the plot involving the blowing up of the 2nd death star that eventually become Return of the Jedi that the other screenwriter didn't like that compressing/combining decision and they parted ways.
