Kaito paused in front of Aoko's desk and pointedly cleared his throat. She looked up at him, confusion clear in her blue eyes.

With out much pomp, he set six rectangular DVD boxes down on her desk.

The Phantom Menace. Attack of the Clones. Revenge of the Sith. A New Hope. The Empire Strikes Back. Return of the Jedi.

"Nakamori-keibu hasn't caught the Kid." He commented, only slightly smug.

"Yeah... well..." Aoko sighed, resting her head on a hand. "I always kinda figured we'd graduate High School before Star Wars was finished too..."

*snickers* Technically, it's NOT over. There's MULTIPLE book series that are set after Return of the Jedi and in-between the two trilogies and even ones from BEFORE Phantom Menace.

Still, I--as a Star Wars fan who watched the Original Triology 3 times in one day--have to say...

Although I heard the Star Wars thing is 9 segments long, so it's technically not over yet. Lucas did the middle first, then the front... and the last 3 are suppose to deal with Leia+Han's kids or something. At least, the stuff after the start of the New Order.

I'd heard that too. Unfortunately that appears not to be so, the story Lucas and some other screenwriter (or whatever they're called) was apparently a lot longer and stuff before they were supposed to get around to blowing up the second death star, but the plans changed and they shortened it and stuff... Which is too bad, I'd have liked to know that there were still more coming. Not withstanding the fact that I liked the original trilog much more than the newer one...

Well, while there may be no more movies (shoot me, that might have jinxed it and Lucas will want another movie put out or something), there are plenty of books running that take place after the trilogies, before the trilogies, and even in-between them. They don't effect the story-lines of the movies...and are actually like official fanfics or something.

Of course, the older written books were screwed over when Lucas made the pre-trilogy and brought in midichlorians and whatnot *sighs*

Well, IIRC Lucas said something during the original Star Wars hype that came down to that there'd be 9 movies. Somewhere in the commentary of the Special edition DVDs he explains how he and another screenwriter had been working on that story, but after he'd decided to compress and combine elements of the originally longer story into the plot involving the blowing up of the 2nd death star that eventually become Return of the Jedi that the other screenwriter didn't like that compressing/combining decision and they parted ways.

Eh...I dunno if there'll be a movie about the Solo kids and whatnot (let's not forget little Ben Skywalker~!)...the original actors for Han, Leia, and Luke (Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, and Mark Hamill) are actually pretty old...true, the NJO takes place like twenty years after Yavin, but it's been somewhere around 35 years since the first SW movie was made.

I dunno...maybe Lucas will go movie-happy again XD;;;

WHO WILL THEY GET TO PLAY MARA JADE?! O:!

A lot of dedicated Star Wars fans would be REALLY pissed about that. I mean, quite a few of them were miffed about the changes he made to the original trilogy already...

Hi I am new, but cannot resist the talk. Yep there are books about the kids, Leia and Han had a pair of twin and a boy. I read those stories before, but cannot remember the titles...and there are some about Luke as well.

It's the Extended Universe. There are many, many books. But recently, there was a series of books written by different authors called the New Jedi Order. Very interesting, if not just sad for the Solo/Skywalker clan.

...I feel like such a dork for knowing all of this, but I'm way behind on those books now XDDD

Yeah! I've seen a couple of those too... but Lucas didn't really endorse those so his version could be different (which would screw all the books over, but hey! ...I never did like the names Jaina and Jason or whatever it was...)

::points to above comments:: Yeah, there are supposed to be nine parts. Then there's the fact that Han and Leia's children don't have happy lives. If you thought the end of Revenge of the Sith was dark, I've heard that the end for the kids (at least one of them) is pretty dark.
