[fic] Ki~Tsu~Ne: Growing Up

"Come ON, Sasuke!" Naruto growled, resisting the urge to stamp a foot> in frustration. "We need to go and we needed to go five minutes ago!"
A dark shadow flickers out of the corner of his eye, a slight flicker of chakra in the trees that made up the forest around Konoha Village. The black kitsune was in a playful mood today.
"Yes, yes. I know it's more fun to play in the forest in fox shape." The blond continued to grumble. Kyuubi agreed, waxing poetic as he reminisced about the days when he had his own body and was still free. "But we've got -responsibilities-. We're Ninja, remember?"
A triangular black furry face peered out some bushes looking up at him with mischievous yet soulful dark blue eyes. Sasuke didn't want to change back into a human. Clothes were itchy.
Naruto rolled his eyes. Great. He had a nudist for a best friend/brother/rival. Just wonderful.
Offspring, Kyuubi corrected smugly. Naruto mentally told him where he could stick all nine of his tails. Even if it was still more like eight-and-a-half tails. It would take a long while before they were back up to the strength they were before they had changed Sasuke.
Hopefully, due to the fact that they had turned Sasuke into a kitsune, they wouldn't -need- to be full strength any time soon anyway. Or so both he and Kyuubi hoped.
It was one of the things they both agreed on. Although now that Kyuubi was over the whole 'Revenge-Slaughter-Destroy' thing, Naruto was pleased to discover both he and his tenant had quite a few things they agreed on as a whole. Both of them were a lot more at peace, both with each other and life in general, now that they had another fox to play with.
Sasuke yipped, eyes squinting shut either in concentration or constipation. After a second, a small cloud of smoke appeared around the black fox's neck, Sasuke's forehead protector appearing around his neck like an oversized collar.
The damned fox looked highly pleased with himself.
"No." Naruto ran a hand down his face. "You cannot pretend to be one of Kakashi-sensei's nin dogs for the mission."
Sasuke wiggled his head, tugging at the bit of fabric and metal with his paws until it drooped over one eye. The kitsune straightened, a vulpine grin on the dark muzzle.
"You can't pretend to be Kakashi-sensei either." Naruto crossed his arms and glared.
Sasuke's head tilted slightly, smirking triumphantly.
"Okay, yes, so you CAN pretend to be Kakashi-sensei." Naruto corrected himself. "But that doesn't change the fact that the mission calls for three..." couldn't say 'humans', cause Sasuke would debate if Naruto counted, and kitsune were 'people' too "Ninja, not two ninja and a fox!"
Sasuke ignored him, his head tilted the other way, pondering who else he could imitate.
Naruto growled, tugging at his short hair with his hands. "When did -I- become the responsible one?!" He howled, his temper fraying.
He could feel the weight of the other two foxes incredulous stares, even if he could only see Sasuke's insufferable not-quite pitying one.
Since your other half decided to give birth, the Kyuubi informed him with a very mild sort of prissy smug glee.
Naruto sighed, covering his face with his hands, resisting the urge to bang his head against one of the very nice solid nearby trees.
"I wonder if Iruka-sensei ever feels like this..."
