Memories of Japan: Popping Heiji's Cherry
Apr. 25th, 2003 12:30 pmWe got somewhat lost in Kamakura, looking for the Great Budda from Engaku-ji Temple. Was fun, looking around the side streets, even if M got a little pissy about getting taking the scenic route.
But after a few minutes, we decided that food was in order, and started looking around. None of us are exactly rich, and after looking at food prices (900yen for ramen, yipe!) we decided to go shopping at a convieniance store. Cheap, decent food, yum!
Tho I did notice that on the egg sandwiches, the yolks were a bright orange, almost a red instead of the mellow yellow I'm used to seeing... Anyway.
Was really REALLY excited to find some of those 'Big-head, big-hands' Detective Conan figurines, was hoping to pick up one of the Kaitou Kid (never did find one).
They had 2 left, Hattori Heiji and Haibara Ai.
Insert dance of joy here.
Waited until we got outside to open them up (And put the cardboard box in the proper recycling bin) and giggled like crazy. Really like the Heiji sculpt, think it's the best one of the lot.
And with it, came a little suck on candy in an orange wrapper with a pic of Conan's head on it. Figured it was orange candy and figured that I'd suck on that while on the (correct) way to the temples.
It took less than a minute to realise that I had just popped Heiji's Cherry (candy) into my mouth.
Snickered most of the way there.
