Hakuba snerked.

It was an uncommon enough of a sound that it caught the attention of Kuroba. And thus unfortunately drawing the attention of those who watched the magician.

Hakuba quickly covered up his amused expression with a bland expression, grateful that it was the middle of class, meaning they couldn’t jump him just yet.

Unfortunately, this meant that as soon as the bell rang for break, his desk was promptly surrounded by Kuroba, Koizumi and Nakamori.

”Alright.” Kuroba grinned. “ What was so funny?”

”Nothing.”

”Liar.” Koizumi purred, leaning over him. “Tell the truth.”

Hakuba gave her a sour look. “Fine. I merely realized what ‘Kid’ spelled backwards is.”

There was a mental pause as everyone flipped ‘K-I-D’ around.

Nakamori looked confused. “So?”

”So if you add a ‘C’ before the ‘K’, you get a different English word.” Hakuba explained. He had the distinctive pleasure of watching Kuroba twitch as the magician-thief got it.

”Oh...” Koizumi snickered. “So I guess you really can say that the Kid is being a Dick.”

... it's a rather long set up for what basically amounts to a penis joke. #^^#

The somewhat good news about that is that ff.net currently won't allow us to update, so you don't have to worry about any new ones for a little while. ^^;;

Yep. All this Conan and Kaito and stuff, stuff has inspired me.

I'd hit one of those nasty roadblocks in Pursuance and... well... sat on my duff for a while. But I'm just about to the "You're the killer" scene.

There's usually a couple of us ficcers on MSN to bat around plunnies/beta-read/act as sounding boards. S'how Ysabet, Becky, Mati, Mel and the others get blamed for so much stuff.
