And another doggie followed me to work today. This one was a female mini-doberman pincher. Skittish thing, ran off before I could get her in the backyard, but she followed me for half a block, barking all the way. *laughs*

OMG. Am having so much fun with the Genealogy lines. Have the Hubbard line traced back to 1799 in Columbus, Ohio (seriously, that line has the weirdest middle names. 'Stocking'-?!), the Korffmann to 1653 in Stein-Bockenheim, Germany and the Reiss to Wonsheim, Germany in 1423. Both Stein-Bockenheim and Wonsheim are small towns in Rhineland.

Tonight, I get to play with Grandpa's notes for the Curfman lines, since the information is slightly different from what I found online and start on the Gorman lines, who are from England. Liverpool, I believe. Then I get to start on the Thompson lines, which Grandpa has notes for as far back as 1832.

Is great fun, like finding where a big ball of many strings leads, or a jigsaw puzzle. So far mostly following paternal lines as far back as I can, cause this can get real complicated real quick. Everyone's been farmers or smiths thus far, which I'm gleeful over. Although Dad assures me there's a snake-oil salesmen on the Thompson line. ^___^

There's quite a few genealogy sites out there, can anyone suggest a good one for posting stuff? Rootsweb seems to have the most complete as far as where my family lines lead, but it also seems like a lot of the sites are all linked together, some free, some not.

p.s. sorry about missing lurker day. ;_;
