Today is Thingie Day
Jul. 17th, 2003 09:26 amToday is "Thingie" Day.
Monday was "Be Proud of Strange Things" Day, such as the fact that we didn't write or draw all weekend.
Tuesday was "Smut!" Day, thanks to Ann posting her lovely lovely 'Gingerbread Man' story on her ficblog.
Wednesday doesn't count, because it was Wednesday, and everything that happens on Wednesdays are my fault and Wednesdays generally suck anyway, because you cannot blame stuff on being close to Monday, but it's not yet close to Friday.
And today is "Thingie" Day, because everything is a Thingie today, for lack of creative other words.
Kinda feel sorry for Ann too, because she is a wonderful wonderful fic writer, and an awesome person, and when you look at her profile on ff.net, she gets massive amounts of well deserved reviews for her stories in every fandom except Detective Conan. Which sucks. Because people whine and complain about the lack of well written fics in the DC/MK fandom, and yet when really good ones come along, no one ever bothers to review to let the authour know that, Hey! People are reading the fics. And like them. Or hate them. Whatever. Thingie.
Except for YunCyn, who I think has reviewed just about every story we have written, and we need to thank her for it.
And I prolly should not have drunk that coffee in an attempt to wake up, because evidently it makes us fairly melancholy and want to ramble along, which is bad because we're a Horse sign, which means we never shut up. Even if a cup of it does taste pretty good after 2 sugars, 3 non-dairy creamers and 2 packets of instant cocoa mix.
And… thingie.
EDIT: Coffee has actually kicked in. o_O
Have just remembered why I was banned from the coffee machine and I normally wouldn't go near the stuff with a 10 foot pole.
NO Caffine Resistance.
Am making a very big effort to slow town and stop buzzing and my speach is still twice as fast as normal. Currently scaring everyone. Would be funny if I wasn't vibrating so damn much. *buzzzzzz* Wishing for a whoopie cushion, pretty sure I could run, slip it under someone's seat and run off before they noticed.
Jeff is making hints that I should go run a mile. >D You're number one, Jeff. You're number one.

And Thingy to you, too! #_#
Date: 2003-07-17 03:16 pm (UTC)Not a bad day so far, all in all, but Definitely Odd. Could use some of your caffiene buzz, Icka-- think that right now I would love a humongous cup of 10-minute-brewed hot Earl Grey tea with lemon better than anything in the world. However, if that's how you react to ONE cup of coffee, for gods' sake stay away from chocolate-covered coffee-beans!! Those little monsters make even ME buzz into walls. Whoopie cushion? Nahhh-- you need a water-pistol! We could call you "QuickDraw"-- it'd even fit in with your workplace!
Ran across an interesting little con yesterday on eBay, and I thought I'd pass along a warning. Part 3 of Detective Conan is up for sale (a HK ripoff, but tempting), and I was hovering over the $9.99 "Buy It Now" button when I decided to check the shipping costs. TWENTY FREAKING DOLLARS?!? I do not joke. Okay, so it's 3 dvds, but..... uh uh. So I emailed the vendor asking about this; my response was something very vague claiming that their cost was $30. Riiiiiiiiight..... Much as I want it, nuh-uh. **grits teeth and digs in heels** My merchant-type ancestors would do backflips in their graves if I fell to THAT little trick.
Reread Ann's 'Gingerbread Man' partial fic this morning; whoooooooboy. Much as I am a major KK/Aoko screaming fangirl, I can definitely appreciate the occasional sidetrack into KK/Hakuba-land. Nice work! Makes me wish I could draw... **smacks self for Bad Thoughts** Loved the bit about the tie; that was just cute.
Sooooo... Icka? WHY did I get killed in your fic, huh? huh? Wanna know!
