The cat has no name.
Oct. 17th, 2010 07:00 pmSo a few days ago, I posted this to FB: Watching a house with a cat with no name, it felt good to be out of the rain.
It's not a haiku, or metaphorical or anything. It was raining, I hate getting wet. Am housesitting a BEAUTIFUL old Edwardian house. Modern kitchen and bathroom (with claw foot tub!), rest is in the process of being taken care of. Wanna grab a camera and just go nuts with the details, big and small.
And the cat has no name. None.
Don't really have to worry about what to call her, she follows me everywhere and sings if I'm too quiet, unless I'm in the kitchen, which is where her Mom usually is. I sing back, she wanders over and stares at me, it works well.
Went down and saw the Titanic this afternoon. They're still setting up, the artefacts are being unloaded and they're paranoid about them, with good reason.
Downside, if you wanna work in the back, all the women have to find their own costumes. Sailor suits for the guys are on hand, but nothing for the ladies. Bah.
After a search through the vintage shops on 4th Ave, had an odd thought. Most people, when they think Titanic, think of the 1st Class. But the 3rd class passengers outnumbered the first class, and a lot of them were immigrants from Swedian, Norway, Croatia, Bulgaria.
.... What would they wear?
In other news,
oregeki dragged me to see Inception. Guh. That's really all I have to say. Guh. In a good way. Especially the hotel hallway fight scene. OMGSqueeee.
Ficcage reading is commencing, recs are welcome!
