So I was thinking.... In Japan, you have a lot of live action historical tv series, highlighting various figures and eras. Last time I was there, it was all about the Shinsengumi, and currently it's Sakamoto Ryoma in the Bakumatsu period.

Obviously by the popularity, it's good TV and it's a way of bringing Japanese history to life, give people a way to know and be proud of their heritage.

Why don't we do this in the US? Think about it. "Founding Fathers - The TV series." Make it like one of those popular modern Crime Dramas. Or like Firefly.

You have internationally jet-setting playboy Ben Franklin, the go to guy for strange possibly illegal things, smuggler John Handcock, web-comic artist and sculptor Paul Revere, the fans are off slashing Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr even though there's -nothing- going on, and Washington and his second-in-command Jefferson are trying to keep everyone together to get this Revolution going.

The bat-shyte insane fandom would be EPIC. /o\

I don't even read fandom stuff and I would read this on. don't forget the epic saga of slave families. and some perspective from the native Americans. Even the french get some time. I would love to see more on the women of the revolution. we don't get much of that.
