Haven't finished my [livejournal.com profile] spook_me prompt yet and it's only a few days to go before christmas Halloween. Need mood music.

Does anyone have any good 'Ghostly Haunting' music? Downloads, youtube links, anything works.

If people are interested, will trade you Halloweeny music. Name a genre or a monster. ^^;

I can't point out much except the classical music on my "Most Frightening" collection, Monster Mash, Witchy Woman, Werewolves in London, Female of the Species (by Space), and good ol' Thriller and Ghostbusters. However, I can totally express my amusement that one of the songs on the "Most Frightening" collection is the one they use in engagement ring commercials.

Yup, got all those. But they're not really -ghostly-. Even Ghostbusters, it doesn't really say 'I'm being followed by the ghost of a dearly departed friend'.

Think the spookiest song I have in my collection is 'Victim' by Golden Palominos, featuring Nicole Blackman (http://www.box.net/shared/9eqlx6283e).

Give it about a minute, or until she realises where she is. ~_^

Can't say it's spooky, but I had an copy on cassette for Disney's 'Grim Grinning Ghosts'. It has that nice traditional laughing ghost effect which sort of goes without saying.

Course while I like it, the creepiest thing is how it doesn't really seem to end. They fade the track in, then fade it out. Disney did the same thing with their pirate song collection with 'Yo-ho a Pirate's Life for me'. Dunno why I find it creepy that it never seems to have an end but I do.

Good luck finding something.

Try to find the song "Mephisto" by Depeche Mode--I think it's on their album "Violator". It's got an Exorcist sort of vibe to it. I found a demo version of it here, but it's not as good as the finished version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eDct0Q4VYxo

I don't have any "spooky" music choices, but I usually go to AOL Radio for musical inspiration, even if the songs are played randomly.

There's a Halloween-themed station there: http://music.aol.com/radioguide/themes-radio

Thanks for the link. All the links to more information or to try to order your own are broken. Sadness.

In the news of the ironic, there is a link on the left to "Angel Jewelry". I have images of angels dancing on the heads of pins... or writhing on the end. Pick one.

Welcome!
Yeah, there used to be a wikipedia entry on it as well, which has since been deleted. I guess it was just kinda like a short-lived fad type thing.

.... Still love the answer of "It depends on the music" for the question of how many angels can dance on the head of a pin. ^_______^

Oh, duh, I forgot-- Trans-Siberian Orchestra, "Beethoven's Last Night", the songs about Mephistopheles and Misery. (Misery is AWESOME. "There is a child who sleeps in the gutter, don't close your eyes and she's easy to see, she is not your child but always another's, and those you abandon are all left to me." And then it goes into a litany of all the evil tortures this demon will inflict on the poor kid if Beethoven doesn't sign over his soul.)
