Archery Con't.
Sep. 9th, 2009 02:02 pm-Finally remembered to download the images from my camera. ^^;; Continuing on from the Japanese Archery babble, images.
That's Joel on the left, shooting a standard recurve bow. That's usually the size of the bow we see, unless it's like my or Fergus' longbow. Mike, on the right, is shooting the traditional Japanese Yumi bow.
-A longbow would be half a head shorter than Joel, not even approaching the Yumi's size.
You can also see the length of the arrows, or ya, in Mike's hand, compared to the standard arrow.
Archery season opens 19 Sept, I need to see about making a stringer and possibly a quiver by then...
