[snippets] Finding Nemo

My folks have a new dog. It's a white german shepherd/collie mix puppy that my youngest brother found wandering around after someone had sprayed curse words on his sides with bright pink spray paint. *pissed*
In the long tradition of naming our dogs after puns (CannonBall:shot past the security guards at LAX like a cannonball, Luna Tic: howled at the full moon the first 2 weeks we had her, border collies are nuts anyway, Shelby A. Beagle: self explanatory), my 6 year old nephew named him 'Nemo'.
Yes, we Found Nemo. ~_~

Speaking of 'Finding Nemo', went and saw that today. Dunno if it's a good or bad sign, but the kids in the audience were more vocal/active about the story for 'Pokémon 5' than for 'Finding Nemo'. And this is an empty theatre vs a sold out one. o_O
-If you do go to watch it, stay until the end of the credits. A Monsters Inc. character shows up. ^_^ There's no bloopers, but the characters interacting behind/with the credits are fun. Dunno if I'm going back to see it again tho.

Am going to have to go and buy some of those cheap Dory fishie toys and toss them on the doorstep to my youngest sister's house. Dori will smack me if she figures out it's me, but it'll be worth it. ^_______^ It's the job of older siblings to bug the younger ones, isn't it? *innocent*

Anyway, enough about today. (even if it was a fun day) On to the fic snippets!!!

"I have a question, Aniki..." Vodka said hesitantly as he fiddled with his hat. "Why -do- we wear all black anyway?"

"Simple." Gin smirked as he straightened a cufflink. "Girls go crazy for a sharp dressed man."

Ayumi gazed at him with wide eyes, tears gathering at the corners like azure pools, ready to spill over. "Please, Conan-kun?" She sniffled.

Behind them, kids shrieked and ran around screaming as one kid began to count the grey hairs on the top of his father's head. Conan sighed. Haibara just -had- to skip out today, didn't she? "Co-couldn't we play another guessing game?" He offered uncomfortably.

Ayumi crossed her arms, looking stubborn. Behind her, Genta and Mitsuhiko crossed their arms as well and glared. He wasn't going to get any help from that corner.

He sighed, accepting defeat. There really had to be a better way of keeping entertained while waiting in line... "Alright, alright..."

"Yay!!!" Ayumi cheered, as they began to rhythmically clap their hands together. "Miss Suzie had a steam boat-"

"One question!" Hakuba shouted at the Kid as the thief turned to disappear. The thief paused momentarily as the detective paused, out of arm's reach. "Just why DO you wear that tux?"

"Well..." The Kid grinned, an amused look on his face as he activating his glider. "Would you prefer spandex tights and a cape?"

Gin sighed. "Vodka, don't you remember how you used to cry when all the other people from the other evil organisations would pick on you back when we were the Purple-with-Pink-Polka-Dots Organisation?"

"Um, yes? Oh."

"Yeah. Oh."

Gin straightened his tie and thought about those dark days. His mouth twitched.

"Want to go beat up some flunkies from the Day-Glo Orange Organisation?"

"YEAH!"

*dances away to the music in her head*

*falls out of the chair laughing*
