Life following Fic
May. 28th, 2009 12:15 pmOkay, I've joked about having to be careful about what I write in the Grey Series, because my life follows about a year later.
... well, aside from the explosions.
Kaito and Saguru start dating. I start dating David.
Kaito moves to England. I move to New Zealand.
They go on the roadtrip across America. I go on the Roadtrip-O-Doom across America.
They move into the Grey house and Kaito starts renovating it. I move into Obachan's house and start repairing it.
... The last part hit me as I'm at Lowes yesterday, with a new bathroom light to replace the broken one, a new window arm to fix the one that won't shut and going over my mental list of things to repair around the place.
And now if you'll excuse me, I'm learning how to caulk the bathtub because it needs it.
That and 'Caulk' is fun to say. G'wan. Say it. You know you want to. ~_^

Date: 2009-05-28 09:22 pm (UTC)We had caulk here, but we could never find it ever time I was conscious enough to do the job (I'm the one that does a lot of the home repair), and by the time I found it...it had dried up *ick face*.
Luckily our hired handyman found another tube and caulked the first layer for me. I just have to go through sometime when mum skips her bath and do the settled cracks and a corner that wasn't done right.
For the leaky faucet, you might temporarily 'fix-it' with pumber's tape or electrical tape...whichever you have handy. wrap it around the leak (after drying it as best you can of course) and it should stop it long enough for a caulk job. Hmm, come to think of it, plumber's tape might actually fix the problem permanently if it's able...I think we used that on the kitchen pipes for the u-bend leak.
