I love this story, just as I love all your other works, even for series I don't know. (You tend to get me into them, actually.) This is an absolutely wonderful characterization and look at this universe. I love what you've done with Pleakley and Jumba, Bubbles, and Lilo especially. Every character speaks in their own voice, developed far beyond what the original story planned for. Growing up in Hawaii, this movie was already impressive and you've managed to stay true to the atmosphere and the smattering of Hawaiian that always creeps into any language.
So again, I heart this story and sorry for the babbles.
Well you were gonna have a whole slew of reviews from me, but I don't have a dreamwidth account yet so instead you get one on lj. And WAAAAAHHHHHH!! *jumps on you* THESE ARE AMAZING. See this is how I really fall in love with something. It's cute and awesome, and then you write something for it, and suddenly I'm all over it (I still stand that while I do love Conan, its honestly the people in the fandom and the fanfics/fanart that have me adore it like I do.) So here's another case... not to mention your probably the only person in the world that can have me ship lilo/stitch (I never even considered it before o.O) and my heads still kind of trying to stretch (Jack from Torchwood/Who helps stretching it... I just keep telling myself what makes it that much different than pairing the doctor with a human... XP ) Although now I'm curious to go off and look...
Either way the shipping just came from reading the last half at 4 am in the morning.... the fic itsself was just awesome. I LOVE having her as the new Grandcouncil woman, and everything was just... great. How she grew up, how everything played out, how you made it NOT depressing for Lilo to grow up (I don't care how happy the ending... I'll be honest most growing up fics make me go all geeek-- but then I've been like that since I saw the Peter Pan musical when I was four and started bawling >>>) Only you make it work. So kudos.
Mmmmkay I'll stop the babbling now ^^;; before the tirades get out of control due to it being far too early and I haven't even had coffee since a little before midnight.
(Should you ever do a spin-off, omake, side ficlet, drabble however concerning the fic in any way shape or form? I would support it whole heartedly ^_^)
