Well. It's been an interesting day

Highlights:
Small wiggily bug-eyed... thing. Fun with cheap children's toys!
Playing Catch with N with the bug-eyed thing while waiting for people to show. (they didn't)
Gremlins returning stuff.
Koi.
Getting lost attempting to find a Chase Bank in Texas. (they should be on every street corner, right?)
Finding River Legacy Park and wandering by the water after dark. (and scaring people by chanting 'Fe Fi Fo Fum' while under the bridge. I blanked on '3 billy goats gruff's rhyme.)
Discovering Tom Thumb = Safeway
Finding Sherlock's Baker Street Pub by accident.
Finding a cigar shop right next door, where a Pirate Party was taking place in honour of the co-owner's birthday.

And last, but certainly not least:
Finishing Gordian Knot - Taste of Flames!!!!. Two Conan chapters next! Whoot!

*Giggles* I really wish you had been the week before when a con was going on XD a small tiny con, but fun none the less (it was a multifandom thingy so sca was there right next to the anime group ^___^) I would've had to go as Vermouth just in honor (although I am very aware you are on work and would not be going to the ittybitty convention >>)

Yeah... some cities in Texas love Chase bank... others there's one... like in Austin... one *wisenods*

And due to your subject I now have dirty rennie songs in my head *sighs*

lol. I think there's a few more than that. You're actually less likely to run into a Safeway owned store on the East Coast than anywhere else in the US. Well...except for PA. They took over our wonderful Genuardi's. *tear*

I live in the largest city in NM, and I know for a fact that there isn't a Safeway here, in Santa Fe, Roswell or Ruidoso (two cities I've live in) and I haven't seen one in any of the towns or cities I have passed through. Except for one, near the Arizona border, where I saw a Safeway about four years ago.

Yes, I am weird, but where I grew up, Safeway was the main grocery store, so when I moved out here, I thought it was odd, and started keeping an eye out.

Apparently not in Indiana - no native Hoosier I've met has even heard of Safeway. Kroger's is the giant here. :D

There's a Baker Street Pub in my town. I've never been to it. I ought to rectify this issue soon.

Goodness, you're still in Texas!

Well, Tom Thumb is a North Texas-specific chain of Safeway stores. I didn't realize until I was older that they were the same, but the Safeway-brand stuff is in there. :D
