State of the Ficcage

So life in the state of Icka is currently boring. Watched a sick Xan Monday and Tuesday, helped a sick Xan's Mum around the house on Wednesday and job hunted yesterday. Polling is being held for Baron and Baroness tomorrow.

Finally hit that Estrella is coming up and I can't not go. Between already promising to work Security The Watch at night and hopefully becoming a Brother in the Great Dark Horde, I've gotta go. And thus, flailing.

-Anyone need any house/petsitting before Estrella? @_@;; Or any part-time work? Gem Show?

In the meantime, it is now the middle of January and we've been supposed to be working on fic_off and actually finishing Gordian Knot, The Grey Agency or the Beauty and the Beast fic.
What have we been doing instead?

Giftfic for lil_1337 Prolly the only time we'll ever write this series, I got annoyed with the characters after volume 8. >P

The Zeta Project - Follow the Leader
Angst fic. Why angst? Dunno. But, a fun series, wouldn't mind writing more. Zeta's fun to channel. (and randomly enough, there's a fandom secret for the series today! XD)

Detective Conan/Magic Kaito - Sight Unscene
Same old fandom for 7 years now! ^______^

Transformers G1 - Obvious
New fandom cause I've only written movie-verse before. Jazz-centric. Multi-cultural studies can be fun!

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - Adapting
2005 Movie version, just a drabble. Fun and silly. May play in this series again later, have fun images of the Kid going for an accidental joy ride in the Great Glass Elevator. XD

Detective Conan/Magic Kaito - Fuck or Die
Heiji and Hakuba face a choice. What we get for trying to write what doesn't want to be written. ^^;;

Have an old Avatar fic from the end of season one kinda debating brushing off and playing with again. It's right at the end, but season two started up before we finished it and it's been hanging in limbo ever since. ^^;;

Also been torturing Ysabet with a fic that we are not writing in a completely different fandom. Is kinda fun, to be not writing fic. >D

It depends on how it's handled. I can't seem to write him with anyone else, because Ran is too major of a part of his life to be simply brushed aside without massive turmoil that I think needs to be addressed in a fic.

Ergo, is INCREDIBLY hard for me to write.

Other people writing it? Yay. I have a hard time seeing Kaito/Shin'ichi, but seriously love me some Heiji/Shin'ichi.

SXR all the way... well, until yaoi crept in which is actually DCNs fault as 90%+ of the doujinshi are MXM... and curiosity killed the cat... but yes, same problem, too hard to dismiss Ran. And yet, HXS really works for me. Very few doujinshi address the issue either. ^^* Ah well, safe indulgence at least.
