Friday's Report

ickaimpToday, we went out to dinner to celebrate the Pretty Pretty Princess' Birthday! She's legal!
The restaurant was practically empty save for the eight of us and the wait staff got creative with some of the boxes laying around. First there was the 'Knight' with the cardboard helm wandering around, then the squeal of 'He looks like a shark!' from the back room, which was then followed by 'Airplane Boy' running through the empty restaurant.
-He was running so fast the picture blurred. Yup. Must have broken Mach Two. ^_________^
In other news, discovered that Fascinations now requires ID at the door. If you don't have it, they request that you leave the building and wait outside. Now, thank you.
... Icka didn't have her ID with her. Never needed it to get inside before.
Icka stepped outside by herself. Adult Toy shop behind. Bunny Ranch, a strip joint, to the west. The Bashful Bandit Bar, which we keep hearing horror stories about, to the east. And a carload of rowdy underage teenage guys in the space next to the car, which doesn't have air conditioning. It's dark and 100f/39c outside.
Icka was not enthralled by this. Icka waited under a streetlamp where she could see everyone until purchases were made. And then drank lots of water once we got to the restaurant. >P Although watching the elderly people leaving Fascinations holding hands was cute.

Date: 2008-07-21 04:25 pm (UTC)Huh? Why? To check ages? I *guess* I could see that, but I suspect it will hurt their business. The last time I was in there, I KNOW the person I was with would not have been comfortable showing an ID.
Stupid privacy-invasive society.
