Threes musing

ickaimpWas reading a mystery magazine that Sirah loaned me when something in one of the stories caught my eye.
It involves a member of a Thuggee family, a group who kill by strangulation.
But the interesting part is that they work in teams of Threes. The Sotha, who acts as the bait or lure for the trap. The Bhottote performs the strangulation and the Lugha, who has gone ahead and prepared the bhil, or grave.
The reason why this caught my eye was that we recently re-watched some of the Ushio no Tora episodes. Especially the Kamaitachi, where you have the 3 who work as a team. One who trips the human, one who cuts the human, and the third who heals the human.
Basically same premise... one who draws the person out, one who strikes, and one who deals with the aftermath/covers it up.
Was thinking that would be interesting to incorporate into a DC or MK story. One to draw out the Black Ops, one to strike and one to wrap up. We're thinking either Kid or Shin'ichi would be good for either the first or second role, but having trouble figuring out for the third.
Would love to do one with Kid draws them out, Hakuba backs him up and Heiji brings in the cops.
Or for something smaller, Aoko's bait, Kid strikes and Hakuba wraps up.
