Weekend Retort

-Friday-
Crashed over at Johannes and Linda's house because of archery on Saterday. Had an interesting... incident involving an installation foam covered balloon and the exploding there of. Primarily all over my chest, but partly in hair and nose and in between toes.
Bukkake jokes were had by all.

-Saterday-
ARCHERY! \o/ Last archery of the season and it was the last part of our Marshalling class. AND!!! I had my LONGBOW! Whose name is now 'T'. Don't ask. Johannes did a beautiful job fixing it up. Still score as a novice, but scored higher than the Baronial Championship, including hitting the bull's eye once. Mwuahahahahaha.
Am making a mental note to inform non-shooting people with annoying voices who think that archery time is loud soapbox time to kindly shut up while we are playing with the lethal weapons sooner. It's easier to hit the proper targets without the incessant chatter. >P
So, as soon as the paperwork goes through, am an Archery Marshal and one of the new Archery Deputies. Yays?
Had dinner at Sushi Cho and then I fell over and died. ^^;; Has been a busy week and the lack of sleep caught up.

-Sunday-
ysabet's friend and RP-er from domino_effect, Em, came out to visit! She arrived late Saterday night. We went back to the Casbah (pics soon) and poked around 4th street a bit, and wondered why it's been cloudy like Monsoon season for the past couple of days.
Then curled up and watched the few episodes of Code Geass, to be rambled about during the next post.

This morning, Em went down with heat exhaustion. We threw her in the tub and are making sure she drinks lots. @_@ Is raining where she comes from right now. Sometimes I forget that the desert is a strange foreign place to some.

And! It reached 38c/100f today! \o/ Hellooooo summer!

It's rather sad, that Oregon beat you in weather (we hit 105). I seriously cannot wait to get out of here and go where it's warm all the time (or at least most of it). I've forgotten how much I enjoy the heat, even if it does make me a bit snapish. Give me the desert over the forest any day.

It's been a rather confusing month weather-wise, because it's been cold and we actually had rain outside of January and Monsoon season.

Which is why I'm kinda happy to have the normality of scorching temperatures again!

Ugh, tell me about strange, we went from 50, to 70, to 105 which played havoc on my temperature sickness (especially since it tried to drop down again). I swear I keep alternating between the fans and the heater, just trying to keep from getting sick.

But strangely, I've started writing more since I've been in bed avoiding the weather, so I can't complain too much (even if it is causing my muses to get very strange ideas about genetics and human creation).

Archery is fun. ^_^ It's hard to beat shooting sharp, pointy sticks around. Especially when your aim isn't too good and you have a tendency to shoot the human shaped target in a delicate spot. #^_^#

Archery is damn fun. Especially since I now have my own bow to shoot, each one is so individual it takes getting used to.

We recently had an archery shoot where everyone kept aiming for the 'knight's groin..... and missed.
Got damn near everything else however. >D

W00t! I am definitely gonna bet MORE on ya next archery championship! LOL Wish my damn shoulder would hurry up and heal so I can go shooting. Maybe by the time the season opens again...

Well, if me and T can actually hit the targets, I prolly won't protest next time. >P

We're looking forward to 'Raze a Village' in September, sounds like there's gonna be a couple of fun shoots in it. ^___^

-There's some tentative plans to get together and do some shooting this summer, although PSE is planning on raising their fees, they're currently losing money on the archery field.
