Icka! *clutches hands near face*: Kaitou Kid Sama~!!! <3 *sparkles*
Megs: Excuse me for a minute.
*Megs repeated smacks Icka! with a pillow*
-I get no love. *Snickers* Also discovered last night that it's rather futile to hide under your bed if your bed is a futon mattress on the ground. However, quite a bit of fun can be had while -under- said futon.
Anyway. THIS SATURDAY! FOR ONE SATURDAY ONLY!
We're hosting a panel on fanfiction at Bookman's Anime Festival 2008 in Phoenix at Noon.
By 'We', I mean
dqbunny (Slayers),
ysabet (DC/MK),
lil_1337 (Gundam Wing),
morgan_idril (Fandom History) and myself.
This'll be our first time hosting a panel, so wish us luck. It ought to be a lot of fun no matter what, so if you're in the area, feel free to stop by andheckle ask us questions!
Oofuri fans might get a kick out of this story.
Happy Birthday,
sirah_fires!!! ((SNUGGLES))
[Edit: *facepalm* Speaking of fanfiction, we've posted quite a bit of stuff over on new ficblog. Between getting into Katekyo Hitman Reborn! and moving the blog, it seems to have gotten us unstuck on ficcage. XD ]

Date: 2008-04-18 06:39 am (UTC)Well, temps vary. It's generally about 5-10f degrees cooler here than Phoenix, and it's cooler in Flagstaff because it's in the mountains. Right now we're in the middle of an odd cold snap, it should be about 90f, but it's in the high 70s, low 80s.
Give it another month or two and it'll be above 100f, last year it got around 110f for a few days in July. Then about late August, the monsoons roll in, it pours and cools back down to the 90s.
Winter time is just above freezing at night, 50-60s during the day. Deserts aren't good at holding the heat. #^^#
With the exception of the Monsoon season and Winter Rains, it's really REALLY dry. Bring moisturiser if you're heading this way.
Ah! here. (http://www.wunderground.com/NORMS/DisplayNORMS.asp?AirportCode=KTUS&SafeCityName=Tucson&StateCode=AZ&Units=none&IATA=TUS) Graphs are your friend. ^__^
-And thanks!

Date: 2008-04-18 06:48 am (UTC)See, in a couple years, after the house is finished and Grandmere passes on (or leaves us to go to my uncles), mum and I are moving out to Arizona. It was our top pick out of three locations (New Mexico, Arizona and Hawaii). We're tired of the nine monthes of rain and cold, tired of breathing and emotional problems due to the moist weather and darkness.
So I was checking to make sure it was the right range, since I've already checked most of the taxes and real estate prices.
We just can't decide WHERE to move, but we've got a while for that, we need to sell the house first so we know what our range is (we just know for sure we DON'T want inside a major city, but suburbs are okay, as we want to be close to one...we're tired of small towns after sixteen years).
I can't wait! I get OUT of this town!
