About the only thing you're missing is that the guy who Conan invited to live in the Kudo residence may or may not be a B.ops agent, 'Burbon'.

Other than that, this case really isn't tied into any others, you should be able to drop in and read it without getting lost.

I voted for a week. That way, he'll finish the case and still have time to turn into Conan in the middle of the next one.

For the second, I voted "Assassination Attempts Have a Marvellous Effect on the Memory" - and it won't be the assassination attempt in this case but the next one...

Now all we have to do is bring up the question in the next case, "Is Akai really dead?"

I really haven't been following the manga as diligently as I used to, but I can't imagine that this is permanent XD Still way too many loose ends to tie up ^^;; So my vote goes that he'll change back by the end of the arc. We still don't know who Mysterious Neighbor Man is AND where Akai is.

And there is no way he's going to tell Ran before he changes back. That would be way too easy AND it would make the fangirls too happy *shot* Although part of me wonders if someone else is going to wind up finding out TEH SEKRIT when he does change...the question is who that someone might be.

Also--Heiji/Kaito/Eisuke. Is there porn of this somewhere? :D

Hmm... Ran finds out here? That would be interesting. It is a neat twist that she's finally got Shin'ichi back, and he can't answer any of her questions.

I was originally going to say '24 hrs' since that was how long the one antidote she made in vol 26 lasted. But I imagine she's been trying to enhance it somewhat, so it may last longer. I still LOLed when she (in the midst of still basically screaming at Hakase, mind you) admitted she was going to subject him to it in secret on his next visit. Guinea Pig Kudou, anyone? :D

And I cackled at the 'Heiji/Kaito/Eisuke' one (even if Kaito never heard of Eisuke, and Heiji never really met Eisuke(I so wonder what that meeting would have been like), just reported on him. ^_^

But I wonder if he'll either revert or get his memory back(or both) by the end of this arc, or if Aoyama will let him stay like this into the next one. I have to say I'm anxiously waiting for the next chapter to see how Heiji goes 0_____0 and if he recognizes the reverting-signs if they happen(and if he'll have to sneak out Ran+crew), as well as how people take amnesiac-Shinichi.

Half-wondering if someone's going to write Heiji/Kaito/Eisuke, or Heiji/Kaito/Eisuke/Shin'ichi now, just for the crack factor.

SamCurt posted an interesting theory (http://community.livejournal.com/detective_conan/291722.html) from the Chinese Forums that Gosho may be trying to get rid of his ex-wife's role from the series.
Dunno if that's true, but it is an interesting (and oddly-timed) twist after a string of fairly depressing cases.

Totally thinking it's lucky timing on Shin'ichi's part that Heiji is there. Although the HeiShin fan in me wants to point out that every time Conan has turned back into Shin'ichi, Heiji was there. Odd that. >D

Uum, is there a translation for 646 yet? Ooh, so that's what that mangled line (that I did) of Haibara's was getting at... uum, she's already used him as a guinea pig (last time he changed back (not counting the movies))

I gave real answer for 1st Q but I was immediately going, why isn't there one saying he reverts after tying one on with Heiji? Ah well, option resolved in 2nd Q of poll ^^;;

Oh to convince Shinichi of the orgies at his place, just have to tell him Yukiko & Yusaku approved it :>

Not sure what to think of that rumor, which despite probley a lot of people talking about, is just a rumor. And after 647 I'm even more not sure of samcurt's post(since Haibara said '24hrs'). Aoyama nor Takayama havn't said much of anything, which is basically their right if they want to. I think he will at some point get asked the question and will answer it or not.

Perhaps he even did it so he can get the readership back, make people speculate so he gets more readers, who knows?

I'm still wondering: what if he gets back to Conan-normal (heh) and Ai tells him "Oh sure, you can use that as a cure; it needs a bit of tweaking, but it'll work and be permanent. The only problem is that if you use it, you lose all your memory again, this time for good. Well, Kudo-kun? You always thought you'd have to pay a price to get back to normal..."

To be honest? Something like this, to me -- who is almost certainly even farther behind than lurker -- is not much of a problem.

It's more than anything else motivation to find time to catch up. Probably between testing out of calculus and leaving for Japan this summer, as my uni's convinced me that really, I want to graduate now...

( And if you must ask...I think it's been a few years. Hey, I was finishing a biochemistry degree...and learning how to make weapons of mass destruction... )

As of the end of 646, we have a Shin'ichi with no memory. Past that we're awaiting further developments to see what the bleepin' hell is going on. XD

So far the chapter doesn't seem to link up with many of the others (unlike the B.ops arcs), so if you just wanna pick it up at 646 and read it, you should be okay.

Hey there! You don't know me (I lurk), but I'm a fan of your writing. I just recently spent two nights without enough sleep because I started reading Shades of Grey and The Grey Zone and couldn't stop ^^; I really enjoyed them, and while I was always a fan of Detective Conan, your fic got me much more interested, and now I'm a helpless Kid/Hakuba fangirl...sigh.
