"Ha. Ha. Ha. Ha. Ha."

"Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha-HAH!"

"Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha!"

"HIKARU!" Kaoru twisted his neck to look up at his twin, his cheek rubbing against Haruhi's belly as he did so. Haruhi, with her head resting on Hikaru's belly was looking at Hikaru as well.

"That was one too many." Haruhi informed him.

"Sorry." Hikaru grinned back, unrepentantly really as his hand brushed through Haruhi's hair as she settled back down. "Start again?"

"Okay." He agreed, turning back around. "Haruhi starts this time though."

Haruhi nodded. "Ha." She exhaled, making Kaoru's head bounce slightly.

"Ha-ha."

"Ha-ha-ha!"

"Ha. Ha. Ha-"

"What are you doing?" The curious blue eyes of Tamaki peered at them from above.

"-Ha."

"The Ha-ha game." Hikaru informed him.

"Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha." Kaoru added helpfully.

One of Tamaki's eyebrows rose. "The Ha-ha game?"

"Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha!" Hikaru chortled.

Tamaki looked perplexed and curious at the same time. "How do you play?"

"Ha. Ha. Ha." Haruhi folded down her fingers as she counted. "Ha. Ha. Ha. Ha. Ha."

"You lie like this." Hikaru indicated to how they were laying. Hikaru had a pillow behind his head, his feet to the left while Haruhi lay with her feet heading towards the right, her head on his stomach. Occasionally Hikaru's hand would 'slip', fingers shifting through her hair. Kaoru lay with his head on her stomach, his feet to the left as well, the three of them making a strange sort of human plait.

"And then each person takes a turn." Haruhi continued, looking pleased that she'd finished her 'ha's.

"Adding one more 'ha' to the chain." Kaoru finished. "Haruhi had eight, so I have nine. Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha... ha. ha."

It got harder the farther along they got. Their record for this game was twenty-seven before Hikaru had started giggling mid-way through his ha's.

"Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-"

"Can I play?" Tamaki asked, looking at Haruhi almost wistfully, although his tone was confident.

"-Ha.... huh?"

"HIKARU!" They turned to look up at Hikaru again. Hikaru shrugged.

"Sorry."

Haruhi sighed, fond exasperation clear in her tone. "Start over."

"Ha."

"Ha-ha."

"Ha ha ha."

Hikaru and Kaoru gave the Host Club President a look that quite loudly broadcast 'OURS. NOT SHARING' without having to say a word. They had Haruhi in the middle, they weren't giving up their time with their precious sister-friend. Haruhi remained oblivious, counting her ha's on her fingers again.

... Tamaki huddled over in the corner, storm clouds hovering over him.

Haruhi nudged Kaoru. "Your turn."

"Oh. Sorry." He smiled guilelessly back. "Ha-ha-ha-ha-"

>>>>>>>>>>>>>

"Mommy..." Tamaki said curled up next to Kyouya behind his desk, his eyes distant as he watched Haruhi and the Hitachiin Twins as they teased each other.

"Yes, Tamaki?" Kyouya replied, not looking up from his accounts. He could see Tamaki just fine, if a little blurred, from his periphery vision.

The blond may have seemed like an over excitable superficial drama queen at times, but he was also more intelligent than most people realised. He was also curious and sincere about everything he did. Sometimes overly so.

And he had the best grasp on how to manipulate people without the use of money out of everyone Otori knew.

The problem was that he -cared- too much. Tamaki wanted to see other people happy, but sometimes in the process of putting others ahead of himself, he over looked what his emotions were really saying.

"I think Daddy is in trouble." Tamaki said sorrowfully, referring to himself in third person as he watched Haruhi laugh with a wistful air.

Or he might not over look them, just put them to the side where no one else could see. Or just a select few could.

Kyouya reached out, resting a hand on Tamaki's head as he watched Haruhi as well. "Yes." Otori said softly. "I think you are."

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Haruhi handed Kyouya back his accounts book, the one he'd quietly been looking for for the past half hour. "Subtly increasing my debt isn't going to get me to stay here longer." She informed him before walking off to greet her clients.

Kyouya carefully closed the book. The doctoring had been subtle, but Haruhi wasn't here on a scholarship for her looks.

But still, it had been worth a shot.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Mori nodded at her as the tall kendoist approached the tree she was attempting to study under. She absently nodded back, attempting to figure out what the meaning of X was this time with what ever calculation the problem was requiring.

The quiet teen sat down next to her, watching their classmates walk by. A few girls noticed them and squealed in the background. Haruhi repressed the urge to flinch, but she was slowly becoming accustomed to the sound.

"You're out of class early." She commented, scribbling down what she hoped was the correct answer in the book. "Waiting for Honey-sempai?"

Mori nodded.

"Okay." She went back to her equations. Mori was good company for when you wanted to be alone and it was always nice to have a friend nearby.

She got about halfway done when she was aware of a weight on her shoulder. Mori had started leaning, his eyes closed as if for a nap.

"You can use my lap as a pillow if you don't mind me using your head for a desk." Haruhi offered. Mori's eyes opened slightly, looking at her with their unfathomable depths, then he shifted to do as she'd offered, resting his head on her thigh.

Girls squealed in the background.

Haruhi carefully rested her notebook on the side of Mori's head, making sure not to accidentally pin his ear with the book and went back to work.

The sun had shifted by the time she felt a shadow fall across her light. She looked up to find Honey leaning over her, a serious expression on his face. "Haru-chan?"

"Yes?" She briefly wondered if Honey was going to take offence to her using his cousin as a table.

"You solved for Y here, not X." Honey picked up her notebook and started flipping through it, his pink rabbit examining her homework. "Here too. You used the wrong equation."

He handed the book back, pointing to it. She took it, scanning the problem. "Oh." She'd added the insides instead of the outsides. "Thanks, Honey-sempai."

"Welcome, Haru-chan!" He smiled at her happily, picking up her school bag and dragging it next to Mori. "Got to make sure your grades stay up so you can stay with us!" He leaned against his large silent cousin while he went over what homework she had done, occasionally making comments or suggestions for improvement in his clear child-like voice.

Girls squealed in the background.

Haruhi did her homework.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

"Rules." Haruhi prodded.

"Hands in my pockets." Tamaki repeated dutifully even as he bounced excitedly.

"And?"

"No buying anything."

"Or?"

"Offering to buy anything."

"And?"

"Keep all questions until after we leave."

Haruhi nodded, looking faintly pleased. "Very good."

"Ready?" Tamaki looking eagerly at the building.

"I suppose..." Haruhi looked uncertain. "You ready, Otori-san?"

Kyouya pushed his glasses up his nose. He was along to study this fascinating process of 'how peasants shopped'. -Tamaki's words, not his. Kyouya's words involved 'entertainment' and 'blackmail material'. "Are you positive it's a good thing to teach Tamaki how to shop for groceries?"

"No." Haruhi admitted as she pushed open the door to the shop. "But where else is he going to learn?"

Okay.... maybe I should rephrase that... cause series like Count Cain or Angel Sanctuary with the massive amounts of drama and omg!angst just get boring after a while and I wanna bitchslap everyone.

... and from what I've noticed, those tend to be the ones with the blood and the explosions and the dead bodies...

If m'wrong, feel free to point me towards some series. Won't promise anything other to read them tho.^^;

...ufufufufu... >D

C'mon, Icka~ You know you want to write more for Ouran~

Seriously, though...you have all the characters so delightfully well-done and in-character. Eeeee...your Tamaki is especially love. :D

Last drabble was my favorite, btw. XDDD

#^^# It seems like the majority of the fandom (at least, to my minor poking around) are Twins fans... I like them, but I like Tamaki's over-exuberantness better.
He's not stupid, he's naive and the exuberance/tunnel vision gets in the way.

And nope, I don't wanna write more Ouran, I wanna finish two chapters of Guard Dog so that we can get a whole chunk posted, then I wanna see if we can't get the Chicago chapter of TGZ done so we're up to date.

... and then maybe get the stalking Ouran/Fruits Basket and Ouran/CCD fics done.
But they're LAST on my list! >_< bleh.

Sailormoon obsession is as bad as evil plunnies

But Shoujo is so much Craaack :cO
%So pointing at Icon that doesn't do the anime it's from justice%

Although, yeah, more into shounen too. ^_^;

And my internet connection fails, sorry about earlier. ^^;

And since I still fail to get most of snippet/s...
What's this Ouran Host Club manga about? :cO
From: [identity profile] ickaimp.livejournal.com
Next time you and I are on chat, will send you links.
Because the simple explination that 'Haruhi is a girl whom everyone thinks is a guy because she owes a 8 million yen debt to the Host Club, who are a group of bishies who entertain the rich girls at their private academy' just doesn't do it justice.

It's light hearted, it's funny and it's love. That's really what you need to know. ^______^

... and I think we're a Tamaki fanimp... Hmm...

xD I don't care if you're into Shoujo or not, this is GREAT STUFF, Icka!

It'd be Kyouya-sempai though and everyone knows him as Kyouya. I was wondering for a bit just who you meant. ^__^

From: [identity profile] ickaimp.livejournal.com
Ah! Thank you! *fixes*

Watched episodes 2-5 after posting this and started taking notes on names, cause we couldn't quite remember who called who what:

Tamaki:
Haruhi / Haruhi-kun
Kyouya / 'Kasama - Otori
Ochichi/daddy - Himself

Otori:
'Tousan - Tamaki

Haruhi:
Tamaki-sempai / Sempai

Hitchaniin Twins:
Haruhi
"Tono" - Tamaki
Otousama / Okasama - Tamaki and Otori

Honey:
Haruhi / Haru-chan
Tama-chan
Takashi - Mori
Kyou-chan- Otori
Hika-chan
Kao-chan

Mori:
Mitsukuni - Honey

Date: 2006-05-22 11:26 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] sea-guardian.livejournal.com
:3 Then lemme help you some with that..... So far from what I heard...

Tamaki:
Haruhi / Haruhi
Kyouya / 'Kaasan, Kyouya
Himself / Otousan
Twins / Hikaru & Kaoru
Honey, Mori / "-sempai
Renge / Renge-kun

Kyouya:
Haruhi / Haruhi
Tamaki / 'Tousan, Tamaki
Twins / Hikaru & Kaoru
Honey, Mori / "-sempai
Renge / ...I forget! XD;

Haruhi:
Tamaki, Kyouya, Honey, Mori / "-sempai
Twins / Hikaru & Kaoru
Renge / Renge-chan

Hitchaniin Twins:
Haruhi / Haruhi
Tamaki / Tono
Kyouya, Honey, Mori / "-sempai

Honey:
Haruhi / Haru-chan
Tamaki / Tama-chan
Mori / Takashi
Kyouya / Kyou-chan
Hikaru / Hika-chan
Kaoru / Kao-chan

Mori:
Mitsukuni - Honey

I don't think anyone but Tamaki and Kyouya go around calling each other Mom & Dad. And an observation in how Tamaki calls the 3 youngest his children makes me wonder just what position Honey and Mori hold in the family. xD

Weren't Honey and Mori cast as the 'next-door neighbors'? Don't remember which chapter, have read the english translation volumes rather haphazardly, due to the local bookstores never having all of the volumes. >_>
