Count down to Estrella: Garb done
Feb. 10th, 2008 01:40 amWe are done sewing garb for Estrella War!!! Everyone has at least two sets of clothing. Just in time, since War starts on Monday for three two of the group.
Obachan brought a book on Mongolian costuming and I discovered that my mis-match of patterns is more period than I previous thought. We're talking about doing sewing weekends, once a month from now on. And now we have photos of period garb and patterns to go off of, which have thus far been hard to find. OMG fabric. *droooools* Clashing colours doesn't even begin to cover it. XD Although the brocade tends to be a pain to sew.
On the plus side, I made about two dozen chinese knot buttons today. I think I can make them with relative ease from now on. @_@
*yawns* Heading to War prolly on Wed. In the meantime, I'm gonna go crash. \o/ No more weekends on hands and knees for a while!no matter what Linda says about working to one's strengths.
