`Which was about 10 years ago, with my first fics... gods they were horrid. M'almost embarrassed. Almost. #^^#
But! My favourite line from Extreme Ghostbusters fits the current fandoms I like!
Eduardo: Mebbe he's dead.
As far as the responses, I'd have to agree. Am vaguely amused that they keep requesting -evidence- from Knightus, which he never supplies and thus makes him look worse than he did. 'I said it so it must be true' isn't gonna work there, especially with his habit of attempting to re-write reality to make him the victim/martyr.
-however, have noticed that he's taken down all the latest manga scans, including the Kid appearance. So that, at least for the time being, is 'fixed'. o_O
It's not me, Icka. Like I said before, I'm going to sit around and scan Conan, I'm out of any debates. I'd by lying if I said I didn't appreciate the person (and have an idea of who he could be), but I don't really care. I just hope this dies and everyone moves on. I'm surprised you can't see file 638 on the site, though.
Believe me icka, I know about that all too well... anyway, life goes on, it's just lj, just an online screenname. Just scans. I do wish hacking and threats hadn't gotten involved, and I have plenty I get to regret about how things went along. I'm glad the hacker hasn't deleted the latest files though...
I'm curious as to why you wouldn't have left a reply to one of the anons on F_W, thanking them for their defense but telling them to just let it go. Since they're such ardent supporters of you, surely they'd cease and desist. Then this whole thing really could blow over, rather than festering in F_W and elsewhere. Like here.
With all due respect, I don't believe anything is posted on "F_W" for the purpose of being blown over or resolved, nor do I imagine getting involved there could do any good based on kosagi's comment. Had anonymous not responded, I'm sure the same number of comments would have been made anyway; they simply would have focused on insulting what my name sounds like or speculating about what I do at night rather than insulting "anonymous".
To the point though, I don't own an account there, and anonymous posting seems to have been disabled. Regardless, I've never had much success at stopping supporters anyway.
They're already speculating on your name regardless of the anon. F_W is not the best community for resolving things, but I was more thinking about stopping the continuation of the wank that the anon is causing in the comments. That kind of debate in comments is exactly what F_W thrives on, and it's just making a bad situation worse. Perhaps I'm naive, but I also think that you telling the anon to stop couldn't hurt their impression of your character. Letting it continue is kind of like absent support.
But if you don't want to open yourself up to that community, I understand that too. There's an awful lot of people calling you names there.
Knightus isn't in a position to post to Fandom Wank. He'd have to get an account, which currently isn't all that easy to get (I think). They turned anonymous posting off - most likely because of the one poster who wouldn't shut up.
And, honestly, they don't care about Knightus' character. Or Magic Bullet Girl's for that matter. They wouldn't have cared if he'd posted anything to tell whomever it is to be quiet.
I admit, I had not actually heard of FW before. It's seems to be an unsurpassed place for reviewing drama between online personalities and that's a feat unto itself. Or maybe it just shows how low the internet can go; either way, bravo. I hated to demonstrate a much-needed exercise in errata and break up a bit of the fun, but with incredible insults like "Dickus"--I can only applaud them for their class and ingenuity... or complete lack there of.
You know, such "reviewing" reminds me of a quote by Joyce Carol Oates, which I think sums of the "FW" army fairly well:
"Reviewing is an activity in which those who doubt their own worth express doubt of others worth, in which the morally reprehensible can pass judgment on the presumed morals of others."
Whether she had the foresight to see the founding of "FW", I guess we'll never know. I only hope that I'm worthy of being featured as ETA4 with this post. If they could make me ETA5 as well, that would be fantastic.
On a side-note unrelated to the immaturity of "FW" (yeah, I said it; you're all welcome--every one of you ^^): I actually didn't know that the Kid info site was yours, Icka. I'd been there multiple times and thought your name was familiar, but only realized the connection when I saw a link to it today when I signed up for the "Wiki" project forums. I can only hope you would incorporate all of that information into this potential DC/MK Wiki when it goes live.
Long live "FW"! I look forward to being featured on a long-awaited ETA.

Just have to ask but how does one involved in fandom NOT know of Fandom_Wank?
I'm not as involved in this side of the fandom as you may think, I guess. I don't read fan-fiction and have never delved in it, but I understand why some do. I do dabble in writing every now and again for kicks, but only with my own strange premises. I'm not prepared to tackle Gosho's lore, I guess.
And I love how you just don't seem to understand the whole point of it.
I do understand the point of it; it's fairly obvious what the point is. If the intended humor (not even creative in the least) were well, just that (humor), then it would have some point. As it stands, it's just people commenting on extremely biased situations with very crass humor.
They don't care if their insults are creative, genius. That's pretty obvious from reading any of them, isn't it?
I would say there's no shame in being a "newb" to LJ, though :P. What's with trying to prove that? You saw why I came here originally back a few weeks ago; it shouldn't be any surprise I haven't logged a few entires. And really, I never plan to log any, so I don't think anyone should bother being concerned with my lack of activity here.
That just seemed a little pointless, I guess, is what I mean to say. Just my opinion, though.

True. The reason why you came to LJ in the first place doesn't even have to be guessed upon. You came here to troll, and I am horribly upset that you chose to take up this ridiculous wankfest in Icka's LJ.
Thank you for confessing to your true intentions. I will now be reporting you. Have a nice day.
Perhaps the wankers (er, is that a term?) wouldn't, but DC fans who are re-directed there would. There is already a post to the effect of not using Knightus's subs any more.
Heck, I usually don't follow F_W and don't have an account there myself, but the idea of wank in Detective Conan fanon drew me there. I mean, who would have thought?
Fandom_wank is still not the place where you're going to make yourself look good by coming in to defend yourself, no matter how in the right you feel you are.
Unless you're *really* good at expressing yourself (and five paragraphs of refutation isn't being good at expressing yourself) you're just going to wind up looking even more foolish than you did before. Knightus and MagicBulletGirl were both right to not post themselves.
~shrugs~ I wasn't suggesting Knightus defend himself. The anon already did that pretty well. I was suggesting that if he wanted it all to blow over, he could suggest that to the anon.
However, it's all starting to die down now, so I suppose the point is moot anyway.
Mmmm. It does appear to be dying, yet another reason why posting any defense of yourself or others - no matter how well meant - on FandomWank is generally not worth the time.
I was actually one of the anonymous army requesting proof of the crap they were slinging around. Just posted a couple of comments, and then closed the post out. I haven't gone back and looked again, but judging by your comment, it's still not forthcoming. Proof is one thing nobody has been very good at supplying from Knightus' end.
Oh well. The snark is as good as ever, and for some reason, the question "But what are your thoughts on yaoi?" always makes me chuckle. Don't know why. Guess I'm just easily amused ^^
Ah, I see. I wasn't trying to stir things up too much--just wanted to see if the anon (who I really don't believe was Knightus) had anything to back it up. And apparently...there was nothing.
No worries, love. I know you weren't trying to stir up trouble. Of course, Fandom Wank is self-stirring, so it wasn't like it takes much over there. When you consider one of our catchphrases is "We eat our young", it should be readily apparent that it's something enjoyed as much as anything else.
