I just saw a poopie being... um... born created pooped.

Twice.

It was like the never ending poopie.

And it was GREEN.

And it was just so gross I had to share. ^____^

*whistles innocently and wanders off*

Were they drinking grape juice prior to said poopie? 'cause it'll totally do that. Apparently it's the pigment in dark red grapes that does it. Yay for biochemistry? ^^;;

I totally love your icon, BTW. Especially since I've now seen that episode. ^__^

Nope, he's on formula at the moment and just starting on rice cereal, he's still a little wee one. ^__^

I'm not sure if I'm looking forward to the multitude of colours that solid foods and juice will bring...

Eh, that's nothing compared to the exploding diapers my goddaugher's been producing XD

Ahhh, good. The little guy's getting his iron.

Oh and 'Been there, seen that, used to have the diaper genie'.

(And am very glad not to have to deal with that anymore or ever again thanks!)

We have a diaper genie as well. Very nice to not have to deal with the stench, yes. XD

... I keep getting comments about how this is good practice for when I have a kid of my own. >_o

Given, of course, that you ever choose to have one.

For that matter, it might well scare you away from the idea for all time.

At this point, I'm not discounting the possibility of having kids. However, I'd like to be in a position to support them before giving it any sort of serious thought.

*shrugs* And even if I don't have kids, it's good experience. I'm certainly learning new things every day! ^__^ And I like helping to take care of people.

Both cool, and definitely ewww.... My Dad tried to scare me off kids once by saying they filled their diapers with black tar that reeked worse than the Bog of Eternal Stench once, but I never knew they had green variants too....

Points to your father. The stinky black tar during the first month of life when the babe is cleaning out their systems. ^^;;

We get the green variants because he's formula fed... it various from something that looks like hard spinach/artichoke dip to a off-yellow stinky puree. Fortunately, this was in the middle, so it's not so bad.

It'll get worse when Xan gets old enough to eat solid food. @_@

My wee man is 30 days old today and his poo is a glorious yellowey pumkin colour. He's being bottlefed beast milk because he hasn't figured out what breasts are for yet. It's very depressing.

That black poo is call meconium and it's the gunk that they get in their system while they are in utero... it's normally gone a few days after birth.

But yeah, the joy of babies fed on breast milk is that "their shit don't stink". Poos from breast milk have a faint and almost sweet smell and seeing as we are using disposable nappies (while he's this little the cloth nappies we have are just TOO big) it's really handy being able to chuck a spent nappy in a plastic rubbish bag by the side of the bed and just go to sleep and not worry about it stinking out the room. *giggle*

Sleep is the coolest thing ever.. don't ever knock it. ^_^

::giggles:: is this one of those, 'it's so gross I have to share to make it hurt less,' moments?
