Okay, yes, I know Kid just went through a big hurty deal. That does not mean that it's time to use Hakuba's tentacles as a hammock and get all mellow. You're a paranoid bastard and we love you for it. We've got 7,000 words done, not including the stuff we have to re-write and I think we can manage to wrap this up in another 2,000, okay?

This is the second time in about a month I've caught people. Just because I'm polite about it doesn't mean we're not BLOODY FURIOUS.
Seriously. If You Didn't Create It, Don't Post It. It's not a hard concept. 'Ignorance' or "I didn't know." is -not- an acceptable excuse, it's merely another way of saying you didn't expect to get caught. Especially if you're stealing it right off our bios.
And if it's that damn important for you to use our creations, ASK ME. Think if it as a Kid Heist Note.

I think the honest problem was that they weren't thinking.
They saw it, they liked it and so they used it, without considering anything more than 'Ooooo shiny'.

I saw someone using one on Knightus Cbox the other day. Wasn't sure if it was you using another name or not. If I see it again I'll mention it to them....

That wasn't me, I always use 'Icka! M. Chif' on Knightus' cbox. I asked them to not use it and they took it down.

-they had found the icon (which has been my default one everywhere for three years) on my FF.net profile and decided to use it. They commented they hadn't bothered to read the bio to see if I'd made the icon or not.
... I fail to see how that makes a difference, honestly.

This is the second time that Icon has been stolen.

The other recent theft was someone decided to use the '1412/KID' from the Kid Ref Page on their layout. They did credit me for it, but they didn't ask.
They also then proceeded to use on icons they made. The layout was okay with me, but I requested they not use it on icons (they have an icon community) and they also agreed, taking those down.

The closeness in proximity is really annoying. M'starting to get paranoid.... ^^;;

I find links to my photobucket folders of doujinshi cover scans and card scans that no one's asked me permission for... excuse me but I pay to use Photobucket... and why I ignore people who whine the images aren't big enough.

*head desk* Art/icon theives suck, seriously. I often feel like saying:

"Yes, let me spend two hours figuring out how to make twenty layers of gradients, textures,patterns and images work together, as well as designing new a while new design which takes another five hours considering I only have 100x100 pixels to work with and my idea wants 3000x3000, just so you can run off and claim it as your own. Really, I don't mind."

While most of my icons are free for the taking (with credit) since I make between 5 and 20 a week, it's still bloody annoying to see them changed/un-credited and it's doubly annoying to see my larger graphics stolen when I only have them in public view as a reference to what I can do for someone's request (such as colouring a manga image or original artwork).

Thankfully, no one's tried knicking my fanart, but then again, it's only viewable in two places.
