No white stripe on Kyuu, but looks interesting otherwise. Slightly Scooby-doo-ish for some reason...
Speaking of new episodes, Knightus has a preview up for 'Three Days with Hattori Heiji' up on his site!!!! It -is- 'Detective Koushin'!!! Hiiiiiii Hakuba! *Cackles*
We watched 'Heiji's First Stand Alone Case' (episode 263, Vol 31.8 - 32.4) and snickered through the first part. Heiji is so totally flirting with Conan during that first phone call. He looks like a guy trying to convince a reluctant girlfriend out on a date. So funny.
Especially since he then turns around and teases Kazuha, but doesn't flirt with her... o_O
if we could change Conan back into Shin'ichi and remove Ran from the picture without killing her, we'd totally slash them. seriously. it'd be SO easy. ^^;;
... and Sarah's attempting to hatch the chocolate caramels. *giggles*
*wanders off to pick up crying baby, sets baby on lap, baby fusses and then falls asleep on Icka's lap*

Oh, yeah. Miyano-chan, --translator for the current Detective Conan chapters-- has lists of all the Detective Conan anime, who translated them, when they came out and what manga chapters they go with. Massive help, yay! ^__^
Especially since the new DCTP has a tendency to say they're translated Episode Number So-and-So but not list the title or what story it's from. ~_~
Kaizou's also recently posted a "History of DC Subbing" on their site... and after looking at both Kaizou and Miyano's lists, had a bit of a question.
Where's Lobato?
... This may be too old for most DC fans to remember, but the first fansubs both Ysabet and I found were done by Lobato. Other than that, the only real translations to be found were Hong-Kong subs. He's not on either list.
Does anyone else remember Lobato? Anyone know what happened to him? Hope he's doing well, where ever he's doing.

There's this one scene in the first episode where he crosses his legs and folds his hands above them. That's such a womanly pose my brain immediately subtracted a penis and substituted a vagina, and it's stuck ;_;
That's... about my problem. Though I'm sticking to the anime so far... on the other hand, I watched SIXTY episodes of that is a little less than three days.

KazeNoKoe, whom I do like their translations, has teamed up with Kaizou to re-form 'Detective Conan Translation Project' [DCTP], so that projects "come out more frequently".
It's the quality of the translations that still drive me nuts, combined with the massive ego and promising stuff but failing to deliver. what's that phrase? Under-promise, over-deliver?

Ended up just putting 'Monarch Selizabeth of the Dukedom of Ingram' (http://www.mischif.net/1412/volume4.htm#crystal) for the time being, I'll see what Knightus & Company put when they translate the manga. #^^#

Is he trying to discrouage Kid from dressing like him? (which we know won't happen because Kid actually donned "The Coat" in MK).
*sigh* Must be patient and wait for the eppy.
And suddenly I'm very glad that I never got into Heiji/Conan. It's bad enough I keep seeing Kaito/Saguru and Kid/Conan hints everywhere I look, I don't need a third pairing to spot.
