Yesterday was a Black Cat day. We re-read all of 'The Fall & Rise of Creed Diskence' by Kosagi no Legion and realised that, y'know, we never really saw past the first nine episodes of the anime. So we sat down and watched from about episode four through sixteen while doing other stuff we needed to around the house.
Word of the day for yesterday: Bugnuts.
Specifically: Effing Bugnuts.
Used in a sentence: Creed is Effing Bugnuts. But we like him anyway. He's an adorable little psycho.
We backed up and made Ysabet watch the one Bathroom scene. With Creed taking a bath in a tub full of red rose petals and demanding that Train hurry up. And then Creed stands up. Covered in a skirt of rose pedals and quickly dresses in time for Train's arrival.
Personally, I'm kinda wondering about the timing of that. The never ending flow of rose pedals out the window was kinda funny too.
And then Creed getting pissy because everyone's interrupting his Bonding Time with Train.
And then Creed telling Train to shoot him in his head. What ever bullet Train wants. Creed will take it, and once he has taken it, it will bind them together forever.
See word of the day.
So today was a good day. We talked to a jaded art teacher, surprised a bus driver by how fast we can run to catch the bus, got lost in and around Downtown Tucson, found a house with a kiddie-sized train on the side, found out that the former Greyhound station is now a parking lot, was given a bottle of water by a very nice security guard, got new hoop earrings, found the new Greyhound station on the other side of downtown by the interstate, got bus tickets to get to Texas next week, walked back to the bus depot, met an old coworker and gave them hugs, surprised Sean, found greek math, history, geography and philosophy quizzes chalked onto the sidewalk by a school, got teased by a bus driver getting on the bus, and saw a really really pretty pair of twin brothers on the bus that needed to wear less baggy clothing. ^___________^
And while talking on chat, I decided I wanted some nice porn to read before bed. Or maybe some Black Cat ficcage. Y'know, either/or.
So we start looking for Black Cat fanfic recs.
-out of the eight Black Cat fanfic recs we found, six of them were for our own ficcage.
.... Bugger.
I'm sure that says something right there, but aren't exactly sure what it means other than we can't seem to find any good new Black Cat ficcage... ~_~

well, okay, maybe a little ^^;;
*sighs* But was looking over some of the fic last night and completely grimacing over the grammer. ~_~ At least two of the fics need major cleaning.

Date: 2007-05-09 12:01 pm (UTC)At least Manga Creed *tried* to make it look like the fault lines were just minor design flaws. Not that he was going to fall apart at the seams any minute now. (Or at least not until the very end, when he *was* going to fall apart any minute.)
Must admit, I still prefer Manga Creed best.

Date: 2007-05-09 04:46 pm (UTC)Think I may have to pull out the manga scanlations and re-read it after we finish watching the anime.
Cause I remember when the anime first came out that I was kind of annoyed at the changes that they made in the series (why won't they just let Saya -die-?!), but watching the anime with the manga distant in my head, it's an okay series. Leaning a bit more towards the action than the comedy, but an okay series.
Had to restrain the urge to pull out a notebook and take notes for our Black Cat Data Files (http://www.mischif.net/blackcat/) a few times... #^^#
But yeah, definately manga over anime. ((Snuggles))

Date: 2007-05-09 05:23 pm (UTC)The anime is probably a perfectly good action series but it just never felt like the real thing. As the Partner In Crime says, it's like Gonzo said "This manga uses every cliche in the book and turns them on their ear. Let's fix that."
*sigh*
*snuggles back* (and hopes to see you in a couple of weeks if things work out.)

Date: 2007-05-09 01:58 pm (UTC)I've informed my customers and supervisors that all complaints about my being slow, snappish, or totally out of it should be directed to you and KosagiNoLegion.... *pouts*
"For the record, I blame you."

Date: 2007-05-09 04:35 pm (UTC)<-would panic, but gets a lot blamed on us, so it's okay.
Kosagi's fic is great, isn't it? ^____^ Have you read any of her Psychic!Heiji stuff? XD
The Black Cat Manga can be read online here (http://groups.msn.com/BlackCatManga) if you get curious.
Got an anime night tonight, which means stable net connection for a bit, so I'll see what I can find as far as volume downloads and possibly anime, cause all the links I can find with a quick scan are for chapter downloads. (BC has 185 chapters, so that kinda sucks)
It's a wonderfully fun series, it's full of cliches, but it's FUN.
