Okay, so on Friday night, I have successfully completed my call centre training and my on-the-floor training, which was my goal. I'm ready to quit.

-Then I get a call from Dogmatix, reminding me that the Across-The-Lower-48-States-And-Maybe-Some-Of Canada Road Trip begins roughly in six weeks.

Right. Looks like we're staying on the job a little longer.

Although I think I will be cutting back my hours to part time, because this 13+ hours a day going to, from and at work thing is killing me. Have just enough time to come home, say hi to Ysabet, take a shower and fall asleep, wake up and go to work with angry people shouting at me and I swore I'd never let a job kill me again. >P

I'm spending the day working, alas. But we had Easter dinner last night at [livejournal.com profile] lil_l337's house and watched Season 3 Doctor Who episodes. ^_______^

::Spoilers::

I like the new companion, Martha Jones. It may sound disloyal, but I like her better than Rose. ^^;;

She's practical, she's snarky and she's got just a bit of a trickster about her. (IE, the advise to the sister about what times to invite family to a party). I like the fact that she's training to be a doctor too, which has all sorts of jokes written in.

IMHO, she's also got more chemistry with the Doctor. And? Better eyecandy. ^__________^

Best Scene from the latest episode (other than William Shakespeare flirting with the Doctor "and 57 historians just thrust their fists into the air and cheered") was at the end when Queen Elisabeth shows up, sees the Doctor and starts bellowing "Off with his head!!!"

Doctor and Martha run, Martha demanding to know what he did, Doctor says he doesn't know but can't wait to find out. A Bowman fires an arrow at the TARDIS, the Doctor closing the door just in time to avoid being it and the longbow arrow sticks into of the door of the TARDIS and wobbles.

-We've seen what the TARDIS does with bullets. They go poof.

The arrow sticks into of the door of the TARDIS.

... Got Wood?

Watching 'Death by Murder'. OMG. Sunset Mansion all over again. >D

I really like Martha a lot so far for all the reasons you mentioned. Rose was fine with Nine because the chemistry was little sister and he was able to keep her in line. Ten she ran all over and it turned into high school in a big way. Martha is actually a woman and acts like one instead of simpering hero worship and reflected glory.

((Snuggles)) Yeah, she seems like she's got layers to her, which I like.

Murder by Death = movie love ♥ Especially if you know all the old detectives. I actually just watched it a couple days ago :D

Bad Guy: So, Mr. Wang--how did you deduce it was me?
Sydney Wang: Went back to theory seldom used today. Butler did it.
Bad Guy: Oh...I hadn't thought of that...

I'm actually not all that familar with most of the detectives, a lot of the ones that are beign parodied never really intersted me. ^^;;

The ending was odd, but I liked a lot of the strange things that they did. ESPECIALLY the butler thing.

Yanno, I kind of like Martha a ton, too. The 10/Rose shipper in me wants him and Martha to have this awesome friendship thing with a little snogging on the side or something, but for the most part is okay with Martha hanging out and asking personal questions. I mean, she's smart and has a good head on her shoulders and can run in heels. That takes talent. (Still, am glad the writers haven't forgotten Rose. Always nice to have a little downer on the parade - angst makes the world go around and whatnot.)

Also? Was watching random telly yesterday and saw John Goodman and the woman who played Jackie. Apparently, their paths cross. It involves the Green Bay Packers. I don't ask questions.

Rose was neat, but... I don't know. It's hard to explain. Martha just clicks in a way that Rose never did.

yeah. Better not to ask questions when it comes to the Green Bay Packers.

Rose was Nine's more than Ten's. Martha is definitely Ten's, and she's smart as opposed to Rose's intuitiveness. They're different; I like them.

*laughs*

Yup, Sunset Mansion all over...

Yup, Sunset Mansion all over but- Death by Murder was released in 1976. So I'm guessing Gosho Aoyama saw the movie, then decided to do a similar plot in Sunset Mansion...I saw Death by Murder. Plot was good, but I hated the ending- way too confusing, and there were loose ends...The only good thing coming out of it, was I became an official Charlie Chan fan...A pity there aren't any other good movies at the library with English subtitles...

Yeah, the ending was really confusing... but still, love the fact that the butler did it.

Kinda. Sorta. Maybe.
