... and not more than five minutes ago, Ysabet squealed and started bouncing like an excited ferret, cut a chunk of soap off of the bar in the bathroom and stuck it in the microwave.
Ten Seconds after pressing 'start', it starts to boil up.
About Thirty Seconds, give or take five seconds, it starts smoking.
People really need to stop sending her sites like MicrowaveCam.com because then she has to go out and do it.
The house smells like burnt oatmeal soap...

We're back from Estrella, by the way. ^^;;

ICKA LAUGHED TOO. PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF THIS. We both crouched in front of the microwave (a safe distance away, in case of tentacles/fire/explosions/ravening horrors from the farthest depths of space) and pointed and giggled. And when it started smoking, we both yelled "HOLY SHIT!!!" and then Icka ran to open the back door and I scooped up the foul-smelling, extremely hot remains and flushed 'em down the toilet.

It was Good, Clean Fun. With added incendiaries! But man, burning soap stinks the WHOLE house up, you know.

BTW, please note that her mood listed above ('tired, sore and pleased') sounds like she spent the past week on her back practicing the entire Kama Sutra. However, this is not so; it's the result of 4 days of camping... well, the 'tired and sore' bits are anyway. As for 'pleased', you'd need to ask her. **snickers** I just live here..... I see nothing, I see nothing.....

Why are we even arguing with each other over LJ? We can just shout into the next room...

And yes, 'pleased' is an appropriate response to surviving one's first Estrella War, so yeah; that works. And the Kama Sutra thing's true too, so you win the Internet!

Burning soap DOES smell awful. **shakes head** I won't try that experiment again for a while... Of course, 'a while' is not what one could call a constant, is it? I think you could define 'a while' as 'until I think about it and get interested again.' **sigh** Don't worry, though, I'll open the windows.

Ummm... I missed that bit. I really did. Wow, though, the CD getting microwaved was pretty cool, wasn't it? And no, I *don't* intend to try THAT one.

...or a firecracker, though I'm curious as to what would happen if you microwaved a string of 'em.

I want to try the cd in the microwave (saw it on Mythbusters) but I'm under strict order at the moment not to attempt to burn down the house after accidentally flinging a lit cigarette across the room.

I know it's sensitive to hot weather and can easily melt even without direct heat (had some in my pocket last spring and it melted horribly, and then stuck together when I put it in the fridge afterwards making a thick, pocky mass. Kind of fun to cut up and eat though because you get a mouthful of rich, thick chocolate followed by biscuit.

I can see Kaito showing this to Ayumi and then being chased by Aoko for smelling up the house.

... The CD -was- beautiful to watch, and it reminded me of that one time the babysitter tried to melt some cheese in the microwave. XcD
She had used our metal edged plates and got quite a shock. >cD

...wow...all my friends do is torch Marshmallow Peeps in the microwave. With very mixed results *glares at Vixie for nearly burning down the dorm* FLAMING PEEP OF DOOOOOOM!

The one that I heard about that I liked was the Peep Jousting.

You take two peeps, one on each side of the plate. Then you put a toothpick into the side of each peep, facing the other peep.
As the peeps melt, the toothpicks inch toward the other peep. The first peep to have their toothpick jab the other one wins.

Really, both peeps lose, cause ya eat them in the end. ^________^
