Had a lovely birthday, friends came over and we watched the last of the Noa arch in Yu-Gi-Oh!. Much mocking. My folks and youngest sister called too. Weirdest thing, my Dad acutally called me 'Icka'. I didn't realise it was him for several minutes into the conversation. ^^;; And there was cake. Mmmm... cake...

Happy Belated Birthday! Um, hope you dont mind, but...remember you wrote that series of colour-themed fics for Magic Kaito way back? Um. Have fic in that universe?
"Points of Contradiction"

He thinks she is the most beautiful thing he has ever seen.
(So why does it feel like he’s forgetting something?)
He knows that he is blessed beyond words that she has chosen him out of hundreds to stand by her side.
(So why does he feel so unhappy?)
He cannot remember a time before her.
(He does not want to remember before. It hurts somewhere deep inside when he tries)
He would do anything for her if she but asks.
(But somehow he cannot bring himself to smile.)
She is his world.
(So why does his heart break when the girl sitting next to him ignores him?)
She is all he needs.
(So why does he feel like he has lost his reason for living?)
“I think you need to go.”
With the removal of the necklace it is like a fog lifting from his mind that he did not even realise was there. And with the clearing comes the realisation of why he wanted to forget.
“There’s someone you need to speak to.”
He looks at her with clear eyes for the first time in days and feels hope re-kindle in his heart. The next day when She throws herself into his arms it is as if the sun has come back into his life and he remembers what it is like to truly live.
