Yule Feast ~ Games People Play
Jul. 1st, 2006 11:06 pmThe food for the Yule feast was middle-eastern, so we pulled out the jingly belt and all the middle-eastern jewelery that David gave us from when he was living there.
-evidently jingly belt doubles as a leash. Very hard to sneak up on people while jingling with every move. Bugger.
Food sooooooo good. The cooks said they'd be posting the recipies to
peerlesskitchen later. Happy!
They also passed around Cloven Fruit. For those who aren't familiar with this, it's a fruit (usually a citrus fruit) that has cloves shoved into the peel, generally in a pattern. This is handed to someone you don't mind kissing (male or female). The clove is generally bitten in half to freshen your breath.
As I found out tonight, DO NOT EAT THE CLOVE. The left side of my mouth went numb. Blargh.
Evidently the rules from here vary from Kingdom to Kingdom.
In Arizona, if you pull out clove with the body part you want kissed. If you pull it out with your teeth, you get a kiss on the lips. If you pull a clove out with your fingers, you get a kiss on your hand.
Hera had a great comment when the fruit was offered to her about if they wanted to see her pull a clove out with her ass.
In Southron Gaard, you get to choose what body part you want kissed. I got a kiss on the cheek and I kissed a lady's elbow. ^__^
The other game that wasn't quite started was 'Belling the Cat'. Lady Roheisa had a lovely ribbon with three large bells on it. At the start of the feast, someone is declared the Cat. The goal is to put the ribbon with the bells around it around the 'Cat's neck. Which results in a very paranoid person throughout the feast. *cackles*
Anyway, must now shed about six layers of clothing. Mongolian clothing very comfortable to wear, but there's a lot of layers. hee hee hee.
HAPPY CANADA DAY!!
impfics: Guard Dog Con't.
