Life, as we know it.
May. 9th, 2006 06:45 pmSaterday marked Six Months living in New Zealand.
^____^ Last night, for the first time since we left LA, I talked to my Dad on the phone. (And my step-mom, sorta. she wasn't feeling well, would wake up every 10 minutes or so and remind Dad to tell me that she loved me. #^^# Happy Early Mum's Day, Gigi!)
-Dad, the next time you stop by to read, feel free to comment. Anonymous posting is enabled, just please remember to sign your name so I know it's you. -Besides the snarky comments.
Got photos from the family last week. *wiggles happily* Have pics of everyone from Christmas time. *hearts* When the hell did my youngest brother get so TALL?!
Also! I'm an Auntie! (again) My best friend Sirah just gave birth Sunday night!!! (right after she talked to us on chat saying she had another two weeks to go.) It's a boy (they were expecting a girl *giggles*) and we're still waiting on more details!!!
CONGRATS SIRAH AND JERMEL!! ((SNUGGLES))
... it also looks like we're going for Residency, to stay in NZ. Wish us luck. ^^;;
Also found out today that paper outside of the US is measured in 'GSM' (Grams per Square Metre) instead of by the weight in pounds of a ream of paper (ream = 500 sheets of paper).
... feel rather stupid for not considering it, but this means that I now have yet another measurement system to learn. ^^;;
