Drive Bys / Killer Washing Machine

So yesterday, I was doing laundry and talking with friends when I heard the washer make the sound that it does when it's unbalanced. Got up, went to the kitchen and opened the shaking washer's lid.
Little voice in the back of my head went 'Oh, shyte'. Disengage brain, engage instincts, dive behind the refrigerator and put my hands over my head.
-and peeked out just in time to see the centre column of the washer come flying out of the top of the machine and into the the middle of the kitchen floor.
... The washer had just tried to kill me...

The lint trap on top of the agitator, or centre column, is attached to the long screw that holds it in the machine. The lint trap had gotten stuck, unscrewing the centre column and unbalancing the machine. When the rotation slowed down due to my opening the lid, the centre bit went flying out. A fairly easy fix, but I don't think I'm gonna be using the lint trap anymore.

Anyway. Drive-bys. The idea came from reading still_ciircee's LJ, with her 'Comment-Fic Ninja' or 'Fic-in-the-Comments Ninja'. Leaving random fic in friend's comments, just cause.
But we're a DC fan. This means murder mysteries. So in that spirit, we decided to do 'Drive-Bys', leaving dead bodies behind. ^__^

no, it's the hard plastic strainer thingie that picks up lint and stuff.
... I suppose you could put fabric softener in it, if you wanted it filtered through...

Woah! Scary, I'd hate for you to be injured by a rampaging machine! Maybe it resented you mixing colors and whites?
Take care and watch that machine carefully! It really seems to think you deserve a severe reprimand!?!

I always mix colours and whites! ^^;; Usually have just enough for one load.

... It's prolly pissed off at me cause I washed our cloaks from faire in it the loads previously. ^^;; Those are heavy cloaks.

Don't you just hate when applincese attack? At least its better than my dryer, who spins whens there's more than three garments in it.
