Whomever one of my dear sweet friends who introduced me to Mushishi during chat the other day, come over here so I can hug you with this hand and sufficate you with a pillow with the other.

Gods, that series is addicting. Such lovely supernatural!!! *droools* Found a few episodes of the anime (any subbers people recomend? there are 3 groups currently), lovely visuals and music. Very mellow and understated.

And in other news, my creative dry spell continues. We haven't finished a pic since 17 March. That's -disturbing-. Guard Dog pops up, makes a few random comments (really didn't need the 'PikachuXKuriboh = BOOM!' mental pic, thanks) but refuses to -start- a scene and instead stares at its toes and mumbles. TGZ is currently... well, they're currently playing their porn copy backwards and making vaccum cleaner jokes... Thanks, guys. SO didn't need to know that. >P

There's an interesting discussion on the DC Forums about Yaoi in DC/MK. Must be a member to particpate.

Leaving for Australia in 13 days. Have cloak done. Woot.

[C1] is the group I went with, since I have to say they finished the series first, but also that they did a very good job in translating and keeping with the spirit of the show. ^_^Did you see the first OST was also released for d/l? ^_^

Have fun in Australia~! ^_^

When I first got the manga, when 'A-ha! I know that picture! That's a moving icon on my f-list' and then proceedd to go through my entire f-list to figure out who had it, then stared at it with a sort of gleeful joy.
Cause it is so hyptnotizing.
Cool... the ones I have are C1, but I wasn't sure how well they compared to the other groups, cause sometimes there's not really a difference, and sometimes there's a major difference between translation groups.

Yes! Have the OST on right now, is such lovely music. And it all blends into each other so well, there's no jarring bits that make you jump. *sighs happily*

Thanks! ^_______^

I believe that would have been me. And I use [ANBU] fansubbers.

And yay! I'm glad you like it. It's so gorgeous, isn't it?

Thanks!

Hee! I just finally got around to watching the 4 eps I had on my comp last night. Not bad. ^^ Reminds me of Hell Teacher Nube.

Ginko (Silver Child? Must check the Kanji...) reminds me of a cross between 004/Albert Henrich from Cyborg Soilder 009 and Sanji from One Piece.

But yeah, has the whole 'ooo spooky supernatural' vibe. ^_____^

DC forum link ... good grief ... most of them trashing something they don't even know what it means or taken anytime to read any. Most obviously haven't looked much at actual Conan doujinshi either! "Character rape" by that Mac person ... many very believable doujinshi come across over the years. English fanfics I don't read much since the invasion of Case Closed so can't comment much on that. Bunch of very close minded people! Not joining that melee though.

Oh and could Samuel Cutris's ego be any bigger (best thread starter banner) ? @_@

It's not what you think it is. They have awards at that forum for stuff like that. And Samuel asks a lot of thoughtful questions about the series. (I've known him since I was in the Ghostbusters fandom, he's constantly pushing me to think in new ways. Logical is hard for me, but it's worth it.)

Mac on the other hand... makes a lot of broad generalizations and is kinda a bit of a bully, IMHO. He's smart, but lacks Samuel's thoughtfulness. (that's my read on people, please draw your own conclusions)

Is interesting to note that no one cries 'Character Rape' on a lot of the Jimmy/Rachel fics people complain about, but they will on a yaoi fic, reguardless of how well it is written.

*shrugs* It's all stuff I considered before starting SoG/TGZ, and infact one of the main reasons why SoG was originally Friends Locked, because the DC fandom for so long was Het-Only.
It's with the introduction of Case Closed that people are looking at more than ShinRan or Jimmy/Rachel and we're getting some yaoi pairings.
-that's not to say Yaoi-pairings only, but it's it's nice to have some variation. #^_______^#

Ah gomen, didn't know about the banner thing. -_- I tend to avoid forums. I hadn't been to that one before.

Jimmy/Rachel is already character rape for me ... not the pairing, the names.

A lot of English het only fans in for rude awakening if they look to the Japanese fandom ^^;
Which is where I prefer to be even though I started out only being a SXR fan. ^_^

Yeah... I'm not a big forum fan either, it seems a lot of people talk before thinking on them. But you get some good information there.

Still stand by our theory theory that the Dub Names are Porn Star Names! XD

Ironically enough, I don't think we've ever really been a ShinRan fan... But then we're not a big fan of Shin'ichi or Conan either. He lies too much. (yes, ironic with us liking Kid)
Started out a Kaito/Aoko fan tho. Would still like to be an equal-oppertunity pairing authour, but it seems like B/W have eaten our brains... blargh.

Yeah, the Japanese fandom does seem to be mostly Yaoi. Not arguing at all, but I remember when we first started hitting the Japanese net and finding pictures, people requesting that I not show them any thing remotely slashy.
-some of those same people are now requesting yaoi, but for a long time, anything non-ShinRan was a big no-no.
*sighs* blaaaaaaargh.

I like the fandom a lot more now. We've got a lot more neat people now. It's bigger than it used to be, but not overly big either. ^^

Lots of misinformation too on forums :) Everything in moderation ^^

Well, I didn't know what yaoi was before YJ Auctions came along to look at so I was definitely het only to start with ... yes it's eaten away at the brains and I've done it to myself ^^;;

Major increase in fanfic on ff.net since CC started ... definitely nice to have new fans and new fans to corrupt convert. Gotten a couple people at least switched over to the original series rather than the English dud dub.

I think I'd shoot my agent if he/she stuck me with a name like Booker Kudo, porn star or otherwise ^^

While I don't know much about Samuel(he seems nice from what I've seen of him though), I know you've hit the nail on the head with Mac. Cocky guy, but fun to get into an arguement with.

BTW, I'm moochan over there. ^_^
