Kaitou Kid in DC: Chapters 544 & 545

Yakuza has the first two of four chapters translated for Kid's latest appearance in Meitantei Conan. Many thanks!!!

Interesting things to note:
Mouri is called because Conan travels with him and Conan has faced down the Kid to a draw on previous occasions, so they're hoping he'll do it for a Third Time.
Count that.
Third.
(This makes six in the manga. volumes 16, 20, 30, 44, 46 and now 53. Two of which were unoffical, Conan stumbling upon Kid -- Magic Lovers-v.20 and Eccentric Mansion-v.46. Obviously they're not counting Movies or OVAs either.)

Once it is established that this is a Murder, Nakamori-keibu isn't interested in it at all, he leaves it to Megure, Takagi, Chiba and Sato. Because who ever did this isn't Kid. "The only thing he would never steal is a life."

Apparently, Sato is a bit of a Kid fan. #^^# Takagi isn't.

Kid re-draws the little cartoon of himself every time he sends out a heist notice. So if the police get a letter with an identical face to a previous note, they treat it as a copy-cat.
-so I guess the rubber stamp idea is right out.

*sigh* We need to update the Kid Ref Page... have new art drawn for it, just cant' seem to colour it. >_< geh.

On the other hand, have discovered that when reading yaoi or manga, we -will- sit there and cackle 'fu fu fu fu'.

Actually, Nakamori's statement ("The only thing he would never steal is a life.") reminds me why sometimes we just love the guy. Like him insisting that it's the 'Kaitou Kid', NOT '1412'.

... also makes me kinda wonder just exactly how much he -knows-.

Yay for Nakamori, because sometimes he seems to be only thinkinh that Kid-sama is a human too, not just a criminal.

And I wonder that in Magic Kaitou, he doesn't seem to be very clvere, but in Conan vol 16 (finnish edition, don't know about others) he says something like "You knew that I'd solve your riddle". He becomes cleverer, hooray.

I don't think he's really suspecting about Kaito=Kid, since he's been proven that Kaito isn't Kid (MK vol 3 file 4). He doesn't seem to be as doubtful as Hakuba.

Yeah... all the characters seem to be less clever in MK as opposed to DC. But things are also more logical in DC as opposed to MK. We don't have talking robots in DC. *laughs*

I'm not sure if he knows or not, but he did seem depressed when the theory that Kaito could be the Kid came up. Kaito grew up with Aoko, so he could also feel obligated not to chase Kaito for that reason. ^^;;
