I have no idea what's up with this pic. It doesn't want more details, it doesn't want colour, Kid just wants to sit there and contemplate the meaning of his life. And possibly jumping, but he's got the hang glider, I don't know... ¬_¬
Was happy when I drew this, really I was.

vikki has a lovely rant about Fanart.
Our two cents about it:
We once heard that the reason why you don't find 'offical' (i.e.: scans, screencaps, etc) artwork on fansites is because it is forbidden to use copyrighted works on a fan site in Japan. Evidently they're fairly strict about this.
Hence the large amount of fanart found on the Japanese net.
This is the primary reason why the ONLY non-fanart on Mischif.net and it's subsites (KID & Ahou) are 2 awards we have gotten. Every other scrap of artwork, including the backgrounds, were either drawn by someone else and given to us (treasure) or we have done ourselves.
And really, keep thinking that I should go back all our LJ icons being fanart instead of scanned. ^^;;

*snigger* The Creed in my head is now wondering if Sven would yell at him if he put out milk bottles leading to the attic. Of course the real problem is, once he catches Train what is he going to do with him? I'm not sure my Creed has the remotest idea of what to do next.

Re: Fanart vs. Scans, etc.... I think the icon I'm using here is the only not entirely my work piece I've got and I'd like to think of it as a parody piece. It's still Yabuki's base though and I think I'm going to have to find the time to do a redo with my own base.

Voices suggest Creed could also use bottles leading up to the attic as an alarm system/thief (Number?) deterrant.

... Honestly, I don't think Canon Creed knows what to do with Train after he gets him either... ^^; *casually swats plunnie*

Yeah, I'd say that your icon counts as parody.
Keep thinking I should do a Kid one, only with the white of the monocle highlighted... iKID. ^^;

I've not written it, but I have scene where Ekidona points out to Creed that his interest in Train looks rather more like someone trying to attract a lover rather than someone wanting a partner in battle, resulting in the very first clue that found its way into that tiny little brain of his.

I need to fix the icon image over on Dev. Art though. It doesn't state that the base art was Yabuki's. I think I should probably add a "Do Not Use" for it too. *toddles off to do just that*

Yeah, Ekidona's right, he really does seem to be trying to attract him as a lover.
Mind you, the mental thought is that he's at the 'dip the pigtails in the inkwell stage' with brings all sorts of odd mental images... ~_~ (peacock!)

Going with the theory that - if the story had been about Creed instead of Train - the series title would have been something like "White Dog", I rather suspect he'd lick Train on the face and try and curl up in Train's lap. Unless, of course, someone came around to bother them. Then he'd bite 'em.

Sven's going to have quite an interesting time of explaining things once the purpose of a libido starts coming home to Creed. *laughs evilly*

Concerning Fanart: aye, the japanese are strict about it.
A somewhat 'insider' fan I know of has told us (the french DC fandom) that the japanese even denounce other japanese who put up official art to the authorities.
I can't complain... They do awesome fanart that should be an inspiration to us all. 6.6

Myself I've only recently 'scrapped' my french DC (http://perso.wanadoo.fr/cursed-blades/detvsorg_v2/) and MK sites and put up a new version 'void' of the stolen fanart from my stupid, young and ignorant beginner webmastering days, and agremented with my own...
I've left some official art, but am trying to insert much more of my own, and hopefully in the long run move all my DC fanworks from my art site to my DC site (which is incidentally why I'm working on a seperate english version of my DC site ¬_¬ Will probably also put that MiB table I made for you there once I figure out where to put the site up...)
Hopefully, I can rid my french DC site of official art in the long run as well... Encouraging french DC site makers to think about it more (am very optimist ¬_¬)
On my french Magic Kaito site (http://perso.wanadoo.fr/cursed-blades/kaito/) it would be harder, as I put up there french scanlations of the manga for the MK deprived french readers ^^;
(I rather find it embarassing when in my french fics I refer to Pandora or Akako and they don't get it ^^; )

Anyways, I guess that's all I had to say 6_6;
