The Ladder Tour: They turn off all the lights in the cave, the guide hands you a helmet with a light on it and pretty much says 'Here's the Playground. Have at it'.
We climbed, we crawled, we slid, we explored, we found tiny little sleeping bats, we got filthy and scraped up and had a MARVELOUS time. They let you off the trail in some areas, letting you explore and see sights you don't normally get to see. Was awesome.
And then they feed you dinner. ^_______^
Anyway, this is a random snippet that wouldn't leave us alone. Probably several years into the Future of TGZ, Kaito's following in his father's footsteps and gaining a reptuation as an execellent magician. (street and table magic, as well as evasion)
Odd TGZ scene, probably several years in the future.
The interviewer chuckled at Kaito’s small joke, fiddling with the index cards that held questions to ask the magician. Kaito knew what was on most of them, it was hard not to, there were rarely any new interesting questions.
”So.” The interviewer smiled, having relaxed now in Kaito’s presence. “Obligatory question of course, but who is your favourite magician?”
“Ah, that one’s easy.” Kaito leaned back into the chair, relaxing. “Toichi Kuroba, my father of course. …And the Kaitou Kid.”
”The Kid?!” The interviewer’s eyebrows rose in surprise.
Not a big surprise. Most people thought of the Kid as a really flashy thief. “Yup. Think about it… ever time one of his heists is announced, hundreds of people show up and thousands more watch on their TV sets. Why do you think they do it?”
“To see if he’ll succeed against the police.” The interviewer said matter-of-factly.
“That’s part of it.” Kaito agreed. “Personally, I think it’s because they know he’s going to put on a Really. Good. Show. The Kid is a showman a heart. The heist notices, the police, the bright white costume, it’s all part of the show. And on top of that, it’s free.”
”Free?”
Kaito shrugged. “Anyone can come and participate. There’s no fee at the door, heck, there’s no door, you can watch from the scene or on your TV. Usually to see a show of that size and caliber, usually there’s a pretty big admittance fee. Not that I’m arguing, that’s how some of us make a living, but I admire him for doing that. Thief or not, I think he’s a true showman of the highest caliber.”
And there he was, praising himself. Saguru wasn’t going to let him forget this for a while. Ah, well. He made no secret of being a fan of the Kid.
The interviewer cleared their throat, obviously taken back at the praise of a wanted criminal. Kid had a lot of fans, they just usually weren’t well known or famous.
Hmm… now there was a thought. Kid pulling a heist on Kuroba Kaito…
“Your favourite magic trick?” The interviewer asked, changing the subject.
”Getting my roommate up and moving in the morning.” No question about it. He was a amazed every time it happened. Since the detective had released Watson, getting the blond up and moving in the mornings without there being a dead body somewhere was almost impossible, the lazy bum.
“Your… roommate?”
”Saguru Hakuba. He’s a Detective.” Kaito grinned. Saguru was going to KILL him when this interview came out. “We’re old friends from High School. His job forces him to travel a lot, I travel a lot as a Magician, so it’s convenient to travel together.
People were still speculating on if they were a couple or not and this wasn’t going to help.
Too bad for them, they were just going to have to go on speculating.

does the mum dust?
Date: 2005-10-23 10:17 pm (UTC)You do know that dusting a stuffed animal never works, right? They just collect the dust off of whatever you were using. To dust a stuffed animal you gotta get a moist clothe and then let it dry in a good breeze. Like a kitchen alcove window... she'd put it back as soon as it was dry... but it'd kinda take a couple hours for it to dry in England, huh?
