So was wandering around one of the forums when someone listed a name thing, listing the meanings of the various characters names.

Amused, I tried it out.

Icka!

In one of the chapters of Hunter x Hunter, a guy is talking about how changing his name changed his luck, he no longer had to worry about money and girls liked him now. Which got me kinda sorta thinking.

When I went by 'Jess' most of the time, I never had to worry about money. There was always enough, no matter what.
But since I started thinking of myself as 'Icka' more, I've had to start worrying about money more often. Like, lots.
On the other hand, we've gained a much closer group of friends whom we adore and honestly like myself a lot more. ^___^

Which makes me kinda think by altering our selfperception, we traded finanical security for personal growth and uncertainty. And that we really should try to find a balance the 'Jess' and 'Icka' parts of my personality.... hmm...

when we put it that way, kinda makes me wonder if that's not what we're doing with TGZ, trying to figure ourselves out through ficcage... o_O

I've found that self-perception and awareness does matter. A lot.

I tried that out. For my first, middle, and last names AND both my net.handles it said that I had strong leadership skills or the equivalent.

I do not HAVE good leadership skills. My sister has leadership skills. My mother has leadership skills. My father has leadership skills. I have good cat-who-walks-by-herself skills. I might have good lecturer skills, given that that would require me to get up and talk for an hour about something that interested me and occasionally take questions. I have good beta-editing skills. I am horrible at the part of leadership where you appreciate and take into consideration the concerns of your followers.

Luck of the draw, I suppose.
