Due South is a MARVELOUS fandom. One of the few fandoms it's harder to find bad fic than good fic, IMHO.
Just wish we could write more in it...

Can see the Virgil/Richie pairing, but you're right, wish more of it was good.
Have you looked up who Richie was in the orginal comic series? Is pretty funny.

The orginal is just 'Static', no Shock to it. Part of Milestone/DC comics. (<-- used to collect it)

One of the hidden jokes in the STatic Shock series is the episode Richie becomes Gear... the names he lists: 'Steel' and 'Hardware' are other comic characters, Hardware was launched at the same time as Static, under the 'Milestone' name.

--Freya was the one who knew Virgil was Static, they were childhood friends. Richie was a background character who came in later in the series.

Yeah, the animated series has a good feel to it, one of the few american cartoons to come out the past couple of years that I adore. (Kim Possible and Codename: Kids Next Door being some of the current ones). And it's vastly different from the comics, but for once I don't mind.
