[fic] TGZ: Pre Snippets

ickaimpTomorrow's Kuroba Kaito and Aoyama Gosho's Birthday!! XD Happy Birthday To Them!!
We got the fic done a day early, as compared to Kudo's, which was a day late. ^^;; Can be found on![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
manycases1truth, another series of short scenes, 'Kuroba Family Secrets'.
Did some poking today at MK manga and realised that we'd gotten the conversion of centimetres to inches wrong on the guys, so Heiji's actually about 5'11" and Hakuba's 5'10". We were off by one inch. *sighs* Corrected that on the Kaitou Kid Reference Page
Also added some more minor characters. ^^;; Feeling like a bit of an idiot because it just clicked that Chat Noir's name isn't Ruby Jones, Ruby Jones is an alias, we don't know Chat Noir's real name. ~_~
So, must correct TGZ, but she's remaining Auntie Kitty. *sighs*
Anyway, some short random scenes that have been popping up for TGZ, but haven'tflorished, flurished grown yet.

"Um... Kaito-kun?" Saguru had a look on his face like he wanted to say something and wasn't quite sure how to go about it.
Kaito sighed. He knew what was coming. He had known what the detective was going to say when he had coaxed Kaito away from the dart board towards the open billiard table at the local pub. "Yeah?"
"You suck." Saguru was not doing a very good job at hiding his disappointment. It was obvious that he'd been hoping for a challenge on the billiard tables and the rest of the pub patrons had enough sense not to play him.
And -Aoko- could beat Kaito when it came to pool. Which wasn't quite like billiards, but it was close enough.
"Shut up. I know." He grumbled back. "I can't be perfect at -everything- you know."
"Yes, but..." Saguru's face scrunched up. "I know eight year olds who could play better than you..."
"If you want me to trounce you, we can play darts." Kaito declared firmly.
"Perhaps I could give you some pointers?" Saguru offered, clearly not ready to give up the game.
"Won't work." He sighed. "Jiichan tried to teach me once, and he used to be pro. It's like ice skating, there's just some things I can't do."
Saguru shrugged. "Couldn't hurt to try."
"That I doubt." Kaito chuckled. "Give me playing cards, I can make them dance and sing. Put a stick and a couple of balls in my hands, I can't figure them out."
A silent awkward pause followed.
Saguru cleared his throat delicately. "I'm sure you'll figure it out someday."

Kaito gleefully pounded on Saguru's door. "Rise and shine!! It's Christmas!!" He hollered, knowing how hard it was for Saguru to wake up most mornings. But Mum had entrusted Saguru's wakening to him and he was bound and determined to do it in a timely fashion.
He got some sort of grumble in response. Grinning, he opened the door and came in side. "C'mon, Saguru-kun!!! Wakey wakey!!" Yes, he was being obnoxious. And loving it.
"M'up." Saguru mumbled into his pillow. "See? M'up."
Kaito paused a moment, shrugged, pulled the covers off the bed and looked. "Yup. You sure are."
With a strangled yelp, Saguru flailed out of the bed, landing on the floor with a tangled thump. "KAITOOOOOOOOO!!!"
Discretion being the better part of valour, Kaito quickly slipped over to the doorway to avoid the angry blond. "Mum wants you downstairs for breakfast!" He chirped, shutting the door behind him in time to avoid a pillow tossed his way. It hit the door with a much more impressive thump than Saguru's flailings.
"HE'S AWAKE!" He called to Mum, grinning gleefully as he bounced down the hall.

Kaito scrambled out of bed, not at the sound of the alarm going off which he was blatantly attempting to ignore and failing, but at the sound of a body impacting on the solid floor and the cursing that followed. He dashed down the hall, pausing at Saguru's door long enough to rap his knuckles on the surface twice before allowing himself in. "Everything okay?"
"Ta. Everything's peachy." Saguru growled, fighting with his duvet on the floor and loosing. "BLAST!"
Kaito shook his head and went to help untangle his friend from the fabric. "Uncoordinated day?" He questioned, not unsympathetically.
"Probably." Saguru sighed, finally getting his legs untangled enough to stand up. The blond had shot up several centimetres from his previous 180cm height since his arrival in England, either the change in climate or food agreed with him. The downside to the rapid increases in height was a decrease in hand-eye coordination, at least until his body adjusted to the change. And occasional muscle aches as well, which meant the detective was usually in a sour mood for a few days, until his body was back under his control and pain free.
Kaito had also noticed that Saguru was starting to fill out the taller frame as well. In some ways, Kaito was slightly envious of Saguru's change in height and frame. In other ways, he was glad he'd stopped growing where he had. He was never going to be big in the way Saguru was, but having a smaller lighter frame was better for magician and thief work. It was much easier to add padding than appear smaller than you actually were.
Although he probably shouldn't be thinking about the thief part, he was trying to be good and avoid that currently.
Kaito: 174cm/5'73/4" 58.14kg/127lb
Saguru: 180cm/5'10" 65kg/143lb
-we're putting Hakuba at a little over 6 feet tall or about 186cm.

Can I ask a question? I've vague memories about Kaito giving Aoko a rose -- not in the clock tower episode -- but somewhere else, talking to Shinichi? or Ran, about him reserving a special rose for Aoko? ^_^; Or am I just imagining things? I can't find it in the episodes I have, I think it must be in the 200+ range (and I only have till ep 165, alas).

Oh yes, finally finished Conan fic here (http://www.livejournal.com/users/obakesan/68480.html). Your fics have been a source of much love and happiness, and I remember you posting reviews to my halting efforts once before. I'll write you a proper thank-you fic soon XD

Or look around that area... they tend to get annoyed if you just show up and demand manga without looking around first. ^^;;

As far as the rose... Pretty sure it's not canon. Quick flip through them manga shows that he gives her one in the Kudo vs the Kid special in a flash back and one in the 'present', one during Blue Birthday, but that's it. The rest of the time, he's usually just giving her a hard time. #^^#

I've watched it. Its so much fun. I was highly entertained how they linked a MK and Yaiba crossover with DC together.
