manycases1truth as a drabble. (we couldn't decide which format we liked better, so posting both. heh.)
“You’re looking at Sato-san with a disturbing look on your face.” Shiratori commented, startling Takagi out of his ruminations.
“Ah! Shiratori-kun!” Takagi jumped, looking flustered. “Um, I was just thinking about how kowaii Sato-san is.”
The taller detective frowned. “Don’t you mean ‘Kawaii’?”
“No, kowaii.” Takagi smiled nervously. “Do you remember hearing about when she chased after the bomber?”
“The one who killed her old partner.” It was not a question.
“Yeah. She jumped off a bridge, on to a moving truck and into the middle of a busy street.”
“So I heard.” Shiratori affirmed, then raised a pointed eyebrow.
“I couldn’t do that.” Takagi admitted, sweatdropping. “I took the stairs. Could you?”
“I… uh…” Shiratori cleared his throat. “Sato-san is a very determined person.” He said stanchly.
“Yes, but…” Takagi looked past Sato’s cute face that caused men to sigh, past her well toned body that caused men to sigh, to her feet, dressed in their usual pumps. “In heels?”
