Anime Ramble

ickaimpCurrently on our weekend anime nights, we watch this weeks's instalment of Bleach, Naruto, Ah! My Goddess, just started RC:Tsubasa and are working our way through Seven Samurai. Due to various reasons, we kinda didn't have one last week, so we doubled up this week.
Bleach is still increadably cool (don't really have many other comments other than that) and Ah! My Goddess is very cute. M'not much of a shojou fan, but it's watchable. The opening song gets stuck in your head too.
Naruto however, been kinda bored with the past several weeks. Been kinda doing the whole DBZ thing, lots of build up, decent flashbacks, but I've been bored.
That all changed with the past two epsiodes. Mwuahahahaaa. Show ROCKS again. Last weeks episode had just amazing kickbutt detailed animation and this week's was a litte on the simple side, which made Kyuubi's appearance just stand out all the better.
Thoughts (Slight Spoilers):
Sasuke on First Seal: He's the Flaming Dalmation!
Sasuke on Second Seal: Either it turns him into a Girl or transforms him into a memeber of KISS.
Kyuubi manifesting behind Naruto and Sasuke boggling: I'd boggle too, realising that your best friend was really a giant fox spirit's *Ahem*...
Naruto Goin' Kyuubi on Sasuke: "Who's my bitch? C'mon, say it!! Who's -my- bitch?"
... yes, we mock Sasuke greatly. Naruto's just one of those series that's increadably easy to pervert.
We're on the 4th episode of RC:Tsubasa and I'm actualy kinda disapointed in it. First several episodes, got the distinct impression that the animators are la-zy. What's up with a rain sound effect, but not showing it? Bwah? And after watching Tactics, the colour pallets and character movements are a huge let down.
It also sounds like they're trying to do the Ghost in the Shell:Stand Along Complex style music, but failing utterly IMHO. It sounds kinda canned and is completely forgetable. One of the few series that we're not humming the music the next day.
Also -severely- disapointed on the not following the manga thing.
That said, still gonna watch it. S'kinda like an AU of an AU, kinda wondering what's gonna happen next. ^^;;
-We finished Tactics, by the same artist who does Mythical Detective Loki Rangarok a few weeks ago (RC:Tsubasa is replacing it in our lineup). Art and music are AWESOME. Left kinda bitter by the ending, not only did they turn a minor character from the manga into a major character throughout the anime, but they turned her into a Mary Sue at the very end.
Also wanna smack Haruka and Kantarou with a clue stick. Not the 'get in bed' stick, just a clue stick. Need to re-watch the series some time. ^^
...yet another series we need to find text translations for, we have all the manga in japanese...
And this really was just gonna be a commment or two about recent shows before posting fic... What the heck happened? o_O

Keep thinking that part of the problem is that Kyuubi really did claim Sasuke as 'his'. He really only shows up when it's -Sasuke-.
-the other problem being you get those two together and they just keep pushing each other farther. They're damn good rivals that way.
Got hit soooooooo many times during the recent Gaara fight. "Look!! Gaara's carrying off Lee on a mattress of sand!!" XD
Bleach has been consistantly good, just loving it. Can't even make any pervy comments about it really. But Tactics... oooo. If you can, just check out the first couple of episodes. Is very very lovely.
