Trip to LA:
Train schedualed to depart Tucson: 8:45pm
Train actually left Tucson: 2:35am
Train schedualed to arrive in LA: 6:45am.
Train actually arrived in LA: 3:45pm.
Then my sister, who was to pick me up, bless her soul, arrived at 6pm, only to have her car break down 3 blocks from Union Station, in Little Tokyo. (upside: got japanese food. didn't eat on train. food was goooooood.) She got towed back, I had to call to ask for another ride.
Arrival at folk's house: 9pm.

Pretty much took over 24 hours from my house to my folks house. For what is a 10-hour drive via car. But am very glad to have seen parents, Neechan and Consibs again.
Hoping the trip back goes smoother. *salutes*

Plus side, have now finished watching Detective Academy Q. Very happy. Entertaining plunnies as we speak. Must look for manga scans/translations to see how different it is in there. *wiggles happily* ^___^

Random fact: Ran has the cops as #4 on speeddail. (someone dies, she calls 'shi')

"Shi" and "yon" are the two different ways to pronounce the number four in Japanese. "Shi" is also the way to pronounce the kanji for death. So Ran speed-dials 4 for "death/dead body." Easier to remember that way. >XD

Not nearly enough. ^__________^ My accent is beyond terrible and I still only have about half of both Kana alphabets memorised. Kanji. Ugh. -Maybe- ten of those. Still don't have the numbers memorised...
... tho, granted, I don't have much of a use to practise it anymore. ^^;;

I am a punster myself, which makes a friend of mine whimper and groan when I get into it with other people. It makes her crazy. >XD

I used to have both sets of Kana memorised... but then I forgot. ;.; I can understand about half of what I'm hearing on PGSM. Not sure if that's just general SM knowledge or Japanese knowledge, though... And the only reason I have the numbers memorised is because I worked seasonal at a retail place where we had to count product every night. I livened it up a little ^.~ Didn't use the proper object-counting numbers, but I can count! XD

You see a close up of her phone book in manga 47. It looks like Shin'ichi is #1 (since that's who's phone she was calling).
All the entries are in Kanji, except for #4, where it says in katakana 'kopi-'
Which, unless I'm guessing wrong (entirely possible, been wrong before, be wrong again), means 'Cop' ^^;;
