Was listening to the Four Seasons singing "Sherry" and just about died laughing.
Gin singing "Sheeeeeery baaby... Sherrrry, can you come out tonight?" in a high falsetto while polishing his gun is a mental picture that will linger. ^^;; *slight twitch*

Was just commenting to Ann and Becky a few days ago that it feels like I'm fading out of the DC fandom, into a yet as to be defined fandom. Yeah, people can write for multiple series at once, but we tend to have one major fandom we write for and a few that we dabble in.
Jokingly commented that maybe getting the TV episodes with the Kid would re-spark some interest again.

-checked E-bay today and they now have a part3 box set.
Episodes 55-79, 81-82. There is no Episode 80, already checked on Sasami's site.
Conan vs Kid, which I think is the Black Star case, is episode 76, an hour long special. XD
Magic Club one is episodes 132-134 BTW, which would be part5. Not on HK DVD yet, dangit.

*sighs lustfully* This is on top of Sonic X, Astro Boy:Rebirth, D•N•Angel, Mythical Detective Loki and Naruto we're looking at picking up. Hafta decide what not to get once we get home.
Plus side, did find the missing paycheck. Bonus!
*dances*

Me: I have a slight problem here. I'm not seeing any Pink Elephants.
Other guy: Oh, sorry 'bout that. We'll send them right over.
Work can be so much fun sometimes ^__^

Hmmmm; can't have you fade out COMPLETLY-- nope, nope, nope! Episodes? Let's see... I have the Black Pearl thingie (I just love that set, especially the bit where KK gets the soccer-ball kicked at him when he's in the Engineering Room aboard ship; you never SAW eyes get that big before), got the Clock Tower thingie, got the Sunset Mansion thingie, got Movie #3... what else? Uh... I think that's it. Don't have the Magician's Club one, dammit. Are you missing any of these and would they help? Inquiring Minds Want To Know!

Does Miss Piggy Have A First Name? Uhhh... you could move the 'y' to the end of Miss, thus making "Missy Pig"... no, that sounds dorky. But then, so does going through life named Miss Piggy. You know, I once ran across a client at another job named Chastity Glasscock; any time I feel like my day's truly going down the toilet, the fact that I'm not named Chastity Glasscock makes it just a tad better.

We solomly swear not to drift out of the DC fandom until we finish PYP. Because the damn fic -must- be written and I don't know why.

Think we'll pick it up when we get back from AnimeFEST, am still budgeting and if I delay on the D•N•Angel (which we're curious on, but not rabidly insanely curious over like on the other titles which we saw in Japan but have no clue what was going on in the episodes we saw but looked really really cool), that'll set this bulk of anime to just over $100. ^^;;
Really wanna find the first 4 movies on DVD, (seen the movies! Want them!) but the HK-ers keep calling the TV specials 'movies', so is really hard to find. Eventually we will... *rubs hands together and cackles*
One of these days we'll put up a chart listing just what is out on HK *nods*
okay... and I completely lost track of what I was gonna say...

Jeff's comment at work was Isn't Miss Piggy's last name "The Frog"?

*wanders off whistling*

That was it.
Was gonna comment that this is the second time that something like this has happened with DC.

Few months back, was commenting about wouldn't it be funny if Ariade was really the criminal mastermind or some such and look what happened. He's a GIRL. o_O

Comment about lack of Kid episodes, then find it on DVD.

Talk about spooky.

Oh, that's not my fault. Just remember the six real movies' names and you'd be okey.

One more quick reply: You might want to take a look at http://www.discountanimedvd.com/dvd_list2.asp?categoryno=148, which has a chunk of the available DC stuff on DVD without the hassle of going through eBay. Pretty damned good prices, too, except for Vol. 3, which is unfortunately selling at $35.99 there right now. Still... most of the other stuff is going for $11.99, and at least you're pretty sure you'll get fairly good quality DVDs. Not a bad company at all. @_^

Used to buy from discountanimedvd.com, then discovered that often times that E-bay can be as much as half of their price. Stopped buying there when I realised not only was e-bay cheaper, I got my anime in about a week instead of a month later, because they were holding the order for stuff they had to order. Which sucks considering that they're out of Los Angeles. ~_~ (213 area code? Hellllooo... that's local! >_< )

On E-bay, Getterdome, the guy I usually buy from is currently selling Conan pt3 for $24, plus $8 for shipping, so a grand total of $32.
Single disks $12, including shipping.

Funny thing is that I have a duplicate DVD of Shin'ichi vs the Kid, and the one I got off e-bay has the better translations, and doesn't get pixeliated. o_O (gave it away. hee hee)

And despite the whole price comparison thing above, will still buy it if the local anime store gets it in, because hey, the local anime store and we'd really like it to stick around. ^^;;

... and this was a complete and utter random tangent, sorry...

*wanders off*

Works for me; I finds 'em where I finds 'em, and buy them at whatever price seems reasonable at the time. Got a bit annoyed a while back at that vendor who was selling the DC part 3 for $10 with a shipping of $20, which I suspect may be the same as you're looking at right now-- not sure. It all seems to even out, though.

Random tangent? Why no, I NEVER go off on a random tange-- OOOH, SHINEY!!! **bounce, bounce, poing! Goes off to bat at wadded-up ball of aluminum-foil**

If you're REALLY, and I stress on really, patient, you can always download from www.edogawaconan.com.

Can't do much to hold you back, but at least you're staying till pyp is over!!

I can imagine Gin doing that...just to torture Sherry

I'm just saying, that while I don't WANT you to leave the fandom, really, it's alright. Meg and I have both left the CCS fandom behind us. We are still friends, we still fic, we still do quality. (or she does at least, won't presume for myself)

Besides, this may be the best time to get out, before the unwashed masses descend. And you know they're unwashed. Now before the OnlyOneTruth list is quagmired in "ShIniCHi Is s0 H07! OMFG! ShinxRan F0rEvAR!"

Just promise me to produce for something I like too. Otherwise I'll end up having to go out and buy OnePiece or YGO. *Shojou Shudders*

The thing that scares me about some warning labels is that most warning labels are put on because somebody has already -tried- it. o_O

RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGHHH!!! **goes on Godzilla-ish rampage, STOMPING on the teeny heads of people who write hideous 'summaries' on ff.net like 'I suk at reviews, just pls read & tel me what you think, ok? it's a Ran/Shinichi fic, & its REELLY GOOD & ORIGNL!!!'** RRAAAAAAAAAAAAGHHH!!! STOMP, STOMP!!! DIE, YOU PEONS!!! DIE!!!

For crying out loud, if people are willing to take the time to write fiction, why the blazing hell can't they be bothered to put some ooomph into it? Otherwise it's just computerized graffiti, really; that's all. Not being elitist here, I just get tired of wading through all the blahg to get to the fics that you can *tell* people thought about-- you know, the ones where certain unusual qualities were considered before they were written, like 'plot', 'grammer' and 'spelling.' Sheech.

Okay, end of rant. Sorry; just read a really dreadful fic and I need to go rinse the taste out of my mouth. Maybe I should try the chlorine you mentioned... Or maybe I'll just go off and read lots of Kouri Arashi Yami no Matsuei fics for a while..... **sniffle**

It is commented in the "The Complete Idiot's Guide To FanFiction.Net (As Hosted By Draco Malfoy)" by Aspen that "Read and Review" in the summary is the Kiss of Death for a fic.

I know it's our sign to avoid a story... ^^;;
